"Do you think I should dye my hair?" Akane asked as she twisted a strand around her finger.
"Again? You didn't like it last time you dyed it." I said as I rummaged through my bag for some chapstick.
"Yeah, but... I look too much like my brother..."
I looked up at her. She was making faces at herself in the mirror, fluffing her strawberry blonde locks.
"Why is it so bad to look like your brother? You guys are twins, you're supposed to look alike."
She spun on her heel and leaned against the bathroom sink, her nails tapping on the ceramic. "Yeah, well, I don't want to. I think I would look so much better with brown hair. Don't you think?"
"Eh... I think your hair suits you. It's cute." I threw my bag over my shoulder. "Come on, we need to head to class. We can't be late again."
Akane slumped against the mirror. "Oh, come on... They're not gonna care if we skip, it's college! The professors couldn't care less about us."
"Akane, come on, we have to. What would your dad say if he found out you were ditching?"
Akane was silent for a moment. Then she sighed. "Fine. But we're getting ice cream afterwards!"
"Only if you're well behaved." I smirked as I headed out of the girl's restroom.
Akane followed after me. "I'll be good if Aihiko is!" She grumbled.
