"Noona?" Taehyun called out my name outside of the house for the 3rd time.

"Don't worry. He's just excited. It's been 3 years since he had another person to go with to school." Aunt Mina smiled at me. I just nodded and head out with our lunch.

"You idiot. Your mom was packing lunch!" I tossed him his bag. "I kind of forgot that." He sheepishly smiles as we went to our bikes. We biked towards the Academe which was not far from their house.

"It's huge." I muttered as we went to the bike area to park. There were numerous of bikes present. "We should go to the Guidance office." He said as he guides me through the halls. Taehyun was a junior while I was in my senior year.

The school was too good to be real.

"Good morning!" He greeted the secretary. She also notices me and gave out papers to me. "You have your schedule and exam dates in there. Welcome to Emerald Academy." She smiled as she arranged her stuff.

We went out of the room and a wave of girls were sprinting to the east of the halls. I felt intrigued to know what is happening. "What was that?" I asked the tall boy beside me.

"I guess it's the popular senior again." Taehyun sounded less interested. "Popular seniors?" I repeated. He took to me to my classroom as soon he saw my classroom assignment which was undeniably far from the main entrance. "I can't believe you got sorted here, noona. I won't to get to see you often." He pouted. "It's fine." I chuckled at his expression. We bid goodbye as he left to go to his own classroom.

I felt less nervous about getting into a new school. It was normal. The teacher arrived and knew I was the added student in her class. "You must be Ms. Yu Yeona?" She was undeniably short but youthful for her age.

"Yes, Miss..?" I replied. "Ms. Jang." She smiled back as she opened the classroom. The people inside were noisy and got silent as soon she appeared.

"We have a transferee from Busan. Be nice class." She said as she signaled me to get inside. I stood beside her and slowly looked up at them. "Hello, I'm Yu Yeona from Busan International School." I bowed after introducing myself. Everyone were starting to make noises. I scanned each one of them and to my surprise, I found an unexpected presence.

"Is that really you, Yeona?" Donghyuck's question made everyone silent. "Lee Donghyuck?" I repeated. He nodded and the same time surprised. It was the moment of truth that the people from my past were all here studying in Emerald Academy. "You may take the seat beside Soobin, Yeona." Ms. Jang said. I nodded as I held my straps as walk to the guy named Soobin.

I sat beside him. Soobin was silent and didn't bothered to say hi. It wasn't important anyway.

"Oh my gad!" Donghyuck placed his hands on his head, trying to process everything. "Yeona? Yu Yeona?!" He called out my name again which was just a chair away. "You idiot stop calling me out!" I glared at the noisy dipshit. "Donghyuck you can talk to the transferee later." The teacher warned and classes begun.

I went to my locker during recess since I didn't have the appetite to eat.

"Yeona!" Donghyuck's high pitched voice was a pain. I turned around annoyed. He threw me an apple. "You should eat!" He chirped. "How thoughtful." I smiled as I looked at the apple.

"Yeona, you looked different now." He says as he takes a bite from his own apple. I chuckled at his other weird compliments. Donghyuck used to be my seat mate back in middle school. I can't believe he still treated me as his old friend. It was kind of heartwarming to say at least.

"Haechan, there you are!"

I stopped arranging my things and took a glance of the person who is looking for Donghyuck. My heart skipped a beat and somewhat a slight sting. "I was with someone." Donghyuck slowly said. The person's back was facing me. I hurriedly close my locker and grabbed my bag. He heard the slam which made him turn to see my face before I walked away.

"Yeona?" He grabbed my wrist, looking surprised as well. "Hi, Jaemin." I looked into his eyes.

He was loss for words. I was waiting to get away and pretend that this didn't happened. He slowly let go of my wrist and a small smile lingered between his lips. that smile, that smile made everything complicated. "Wow, I couldn't recognize you.." He said.

"You still look the same, I'm impressed." I tried not get overwhelmed seeing him. He grew taller and had more defined features than the last time I saw him up close. He chuckles again. "Yeona, you should've hmu earlier so I could tour you around the school—"

"It's alright Jaemin. I can handle myself." I smiled back. He didn't seem to be bothered with my reply, that's good.

"I should get going, bye Jaemin." I walked away immediately.
