When I designed Hyer, I wanted him to be a mix between a statue and a futuristic armour, despite the medieval-inspired setting. I was trying to make something that looked both human and inhuman while avoiding the more clunky feel of most medieval armour.
I mostly made those for my own reference while writing, but if he looked different in your head then that's fine as well.

Keep in mind that his "hair" is rigid and can flair out when he's interested in something. He has no visible pupils.
Some parts of his skin, like his neck or around his elbows, are more flexible and thinner to allow ease of movement. They are also parts of him that used to be targeted a lot when he was defending the legendary sword. He owes his life to his extraordinary regenerative abilities.
