All my life, dad had taught me boys don't cry
Girls are weak compared to boys
Men are meant to do all the hard work
Women were born to belong to usMum never argued, in my opinion I think she never could
One day I got into an accident
I had been told I'll never walk again
I didn't cry because crying made me a woman
I didn't tell my parents how I really felt
Because men only talked about businessLast week, I met a person
She wasn't a woman in any way
She was strong, powerful and fought every form of prejudice
She was nothing like I'd seen
