Today is the first day, I know nothing will happen. It'll be exactly the same as yesterday, with both teachers and students picking on me. Any new student will say hi to me once, then they'll join the rest of the school in bullying me. Oh well, I might as well get up and deal with it. After all, I only have a week left. That's seven days from yesterday, maybe it'll be better today. Though I doubt it will, so I'll just go with the flow.
"Hey Hope, have you given up yet? Or do I need to beat it out of you?"
Bulie asked me as I approached the bus stop, I just rolled my eyes and fixed my bag on my shoulder. Quick question, what kind of parents assume that a girl named Hope could never be depressed?
"Ah it's Bulie, I was just looking for you. I wanted to tell you that you have one more week, otherwise you know what will happen."
I told him with a closed eye smile, so he doesn't see that what little hope I had over the weekend was already gone. Well at least my parents didn't name me Bulie, it sounds kinda like bully.
"Good, it would have been too boring for you to just give up over the weekend. Now you know the rules, kneel before me peasant. And what have I told you about calling me by my name!"
Bulie laughed, then pushing me down onto my knees. I looked down to recompose myself, then looked up smirked.
"Why of course my Emperor, however did I forget those constantly repeated rules? I beg of you to show me mercy, I'm nothing but a poor peasant trying to get to school. Please let me pass by, I just woke up so I would like to get to class early to take a nap."
I joked loudly, forcing my eyes to show defiance. Bulie scoffed loudly before hitting me once, then he stepped into the bus.
"You're lucky I'm in a good mood peasant, don't ruin it like usual with your disrespectful attitude."
Bulie told me as I got up and followed him onto the bus, he sat on the far end with his minions leaving me no choice but to sit in front like usual.
"Nobody gets off the bus until our Emperor is off! So everyone make way for the Emperor!"
Minion one yelled out as the bus came to a stop at the school, I just rolled my eyes and stood up. Getting off the bus while everyone else was whining out their complaints, since this happened way too often. Seeing that nobody noticed me getting off, I made a mad dash to my locker while avoiding all obstacles. Once I got to homeroom I put my head down on my desk, I just wanted this day to be over already.

I was on my way back home from the bus stop, when I bumped into someone. I had stopped acting as soon as the 'Emperor' was out of sight, since I saw no point in it.
"I'm sorry for running into you, I wasn't paying attention. Here let me help you up, how about I take you to dinner as an apology? It'll be my treat."
The person said, holding his hand out for me to grab. Accepting his help, I stood up and dusted off my clothes.
"It's fine, I wasn't paying attention either. You asking me to dinner as an apology or because you think I'm cute? Anyways, why should I accept when you don't tell me your name?"
I respond monotonously, looking him in the eyes so he can see how broken I am. I saw him blush and look to his left at my comment, only for him stare back into my eyes and pull me closer.
"It was a bit of both, and wow your eyes are really pretty. I didn't notice earlier because you were looking down, and I'm sure they were prettier before some idiot did whatever it was they did. And sorry about that, the name's Savio. You?"
The guy I now knew a Savio answered, making me blush at his compliment.
"Hope, and thank you for saying that my eyes were pretty. You're the first one to say that, and I guess we can do dinner. I have to go home and change first, I hate school uniforms."
I said, as I broke eye contact and stepped away.
"Really, wow the guys at your school are horrible. And great, I can walk you home if you want."
Savio told me, I nodded seeing no harm in it and started walking home again. Letting him follow, since I didn't really care. After a few minutes of walking in silence, we reached my house. Opening the door, I walked straight into my room to change. Locking my bedroom door just in case he tries something, I put on a dark pair of jeans, a white T-shirt and a green hoodie. Walking out of my room, I see Savio standing just inside the house.
"Let's get going now."
I spoke while walking out of the house, after putting my white and green sneakers on.
"So Hope, I was wondering if you could tell me the name of the idiot that did this to you. And how much time do you have left? You don't have to say if you aren't comfortable, I completely understand."
Savio asked me, making me freeze. How did he know about the time limit I gave myself?
"It was Bulie, he did this to me. I have until next Sunday, how did you know I put myself on a timer?"
I couldn't help but ask, as I started walking again. He told me about a friend of his who's eyes were just like mine, and they didn't give themselves enough time. My eyes widened when he muttered that one week was enough time, and I could feel tears in one eye.
"Thank you Savio, for giving me hope again. It's not much right now, but you are helping me."
I told him, letting him see me smile and one of my eyes watering. He quickly pulled me into a hug, whispering that he was happy to help, then carried me the rest of the way to get food.
"Should we get the food and eat at your place, or eat here?"
Savio asked me as we entered the restaurant, I nodded at the first option because I caught a quick glance of Bulie and his family. Noticing my anxiety and the anxious glances, he took my hand and brought me to order our food never letting go.
"Alright, let's go back to your place."
Savio said once we had our food, I nodded taking the lead after one more cautious glance in the direction of Bulie's table.
(Time~Skip)
Since it was late when we finished eating, I told Savio that it was okay for him to stay the night. As long as he didn't try doing anything. Falling asleep on the uncomfortable couch shortly after, not noticing that his face was almost as red as a tomato.
