Chapter 10

As we were walking to the pack house I decided to look at the forest around me it's much nicer here than it was at the last pack the trees were huge the grass was greener and there was a lake that was breathtaking I can't believe I ended up here with my second chance mate. it's really rare to find your second chance, but this time I can't give in to the mate bond that fast I have to learn to trust him first and to see if he really loves me for me.

I looked at my mate and asked what is you position in the pack you have a strong aura coming from you he looked at me and smiled saying he was the future Alpha of the pack I smiled and kept looking at me surroundings. As we walked to the pack house I turned to my mate Derrick and asked can we keep me being your mate between us your parents and your friends. I don't want the whole pack to know who I am just yet. As I said that I could see the hurt in his eyes and slight anger. so I quickly continued and finished with " I want to get to know the pack before they find out who I am.

He looked a little relieved once I finished. He smiled and said anything for you sweetheart. I smiled at him and kissed his cheek. I know he's upset about the pack not knowing but I want to know what kind of alpha he really is. once we arrived at the pack house I looked at the beauty it was it was huge and was white and black as we were walking up the stairs and into the house I was getting weird stares from some of the pack members. I just smiled and kept moving once we got to the his fathers office his dad looked up and lifted his brow as if saying why is the rouge here. Derrick smiled and said dad meet my mate Cameron. his dad smiled and stood up and hugged me while saying welcome to the pack I smiled back at him as well. I heard someone walk outside the door come walking in a beautiful woman around the same age as the man.

I'm guessing that's his mate and mother of Derrick. she looked and said honey I thought I smelled a rouge why is he here Daniel which is the name of the current Alpha. Daniel said honey meet Cameron our sons mate. she turned around and gave me a hug that could kill and said omg it's so nice to meet you I'm happy my son has found his mate, we have to tell the pack and start preparing a barbecue. my mate looked at his mom and said no she looked shocked at him and he held up his hand I spoke up and said I want to get to know the pack first before I become known as the next Luna.

She smiled and said that's fine dear but don't wait to long the bond between you will get stronger. I said ok and his dad said let's accept you into the pack. I smiled and he called a pack meeting through the mind link. we all met in the conference room and the Alpha and Luna walked on stage the crowd for quiet. the Alpha spoke and said we have a new pack member here that's joining us today and I would like you to welcome him and make him feel accepted. his name is Cameron. he looked at me and I walked on the stage he cut his hand and motioned for mine and cut mine we combined hands and I spoke the words " I Cameron will protect and serve this pack with all of my ability my pack will come first always with the exception of my mate then I felt my old link with my pack vanished and replaced with the new one.

I smiled brightly and stepped down afterwards there was a meet and greet so I could get to know the pack they were all so nice and throughout the whole thing I felt my mate staring at me which made me blush. When the whole thing ended I was tired and ready to go to sleep I walked over to Derrick and asked him to show me to my room. he took me to a guest room across from his I gave him a kiss on the cheek and laid down for much needed sleep. I woke up to the smell of bacon so I did my morning duties and followed the smell Marisa was cooking I learned later that night that was the name of the Luna my mates mom. she smiled at me when she saw me and gave me a plate. I ate the food happily and got up to go train for the day I had went up the stairs to my room to grab some shorts and a t shirt that my mate had someone get me with a couple other pieces of clothing until I could go to the mall I went outside for my training I started to run with human speed then slowly used my wolfs speed while in human form. while running I made sure no one was around then used my lighting speed to get far away to practice my lighting. I sat on the ground once I knew I was far away then I tried to sense the electric waves around me. I focused to see if I could find the electro waves in a persons body or animal I thought I couldn't until I found a rabbit hopping along and then I tried to find something else like a bird but there wasn't anything around so I tried to locate the rabbit since I found it before and I did I was so happy I learned another use. so I started to run back and we I got close I start to run with my human speed I ran to the pack house but didn't expect what I saw.
