"Natsu says Juvia is on the Beetle's trail." Levy confirmed, typing back into the mini phone Laxus had given her.

We were stopped at a gas station seventy-five miles away from Clovertown's city limit. Jellal was walking back to the car with snacks when Levy got the message. Once he was fastened in his seat, he froze and then sighed.

"You're wrong." He said.

I looked up from my hands laying in my lap, thinking he was talking to Levy until I saw his eyes directed at me through the rearview mirror, "Huh?"

Jellal chuckled as he started up the engine, "I can feel what you're feeling, Luce." He said softly, and I sighed, "You are worth it."

"I'm not. If anything happens to any of them, it'll be pointless." I contradicted, and Levy turned in her seat to look at me in strong disagreement.

"You're wrong." She attested with Jellal, and I smiled softly at their encouraging attempts.

When I woke up, I was confused. My thoughts were twisted up in dreams and nightmares, and I didn't fully awake until twenty minutes after my eyes opened.

I came to the conclusion that I was in a hotel. Only a bland room like the one I was in could belong to one.

I looked over at the standard digital alarm clock to see it reading three o'clock, though it didn't decipher whether it was morning or night time. I stood up to pull back the drapes of the wall-length window by the bed. It was dark outside.

Three in the morning then.

I sighed, and scanned the dark room for my luggage, wanting to change out of Mira's outfit. I turned and flipped on the lamp that was drilled into the nightstand, and turned back to see my duffle bag at the end of the bed. A light tap came from the door.

"Hey, Lu, can I come in?" I heard Levy say on the other side.

"Sure." I said, warmly but tiredly.

She opened the door and stepped inside right after, her face looking as youthful as I'd last seen it. It wouldn't have bothered me... if Natsu hadn't told me about how immortals don't need sleep.

"You look like you could sleep longer." She joked, and I scoffed while shaking my head, "We'll stay inside today."

I looked up from my bag-rummaging, "Okay." My voice was slightly questioning, but she didn't dive into details.

"You hungry? I called in some food." She offered, "Natsu told me what you liked."

My eyes widened, "He called?"

"Nah, it was before we left." She said, apologetically. I nodded, hiding my bitterness before she took my hand and brought me into the living room.

"You guys got a suite?" I asked incredulously.

She shrugged, "Yeah, why not?"

I chuckled before eyeing the trays of food sitting on the coffee table for us. Jellal sat on the leather couch behind it, chewing the burrito he got while gawking blankly at the television. Levy sat beside him and watched the screen as still as he did.
