It Is Much Too Late For Us

So this is kind of a Halloween themed one shot and I know Halloween has passed but this took longer to write then expected so sorry it's late. Also sorry I won't be updating my other stories because of this.

This was supposed to be up Sunday but I'm really sick and I just went to bed after I finished writing and then I kept getting distracted while proofreading so that took a while too.
I guess I'll summarize the one shot. Basically they're all bored of just watching movies on Halloween night and Michael comes up with a great (or not so great) idea to explore an abandoned Mental Asylum. Also this is an Au obviously.

Writing always takes a long time and I was researching stuff for the story as I wrote so that ended up taking a long time. As I was researching I found out about this abandoned (and supposedly haunted) mental Asylum in Australia called the Aradale Mental Hospital or the Ararat Lunatic Asylum and I couldn't find much info on it but I did find this really creepy picture which is the one above or on the side depending if you're on the app or the website. It's not really based off this asylum as I couldn't get much info but it did give me a good picture to base the description off of.

The title is obviously from Daylight by 5sos and while the story has nothing to do with the song, the song does have like vampire/ supernatural themes and I couldn't think of a better name for this and out of context the line actually sounds really ominous so I thought it was kinda perfect for this.

Trigger Warning: This is definitely for mature audiences as it has graphic depictions of violence and it deals with pretty disturbing stuff. I tired to make it as less graphic as possible because like I said this stuff is disturbing and I didn't want to fully go into detail and I didn't even want to research it in full detail. It's about a mental asylum and talks about the procedures and stuff they performed like lobotomies and it's kind of hard to censor stuff like that. So if that stuff disturbs you read with caution. It also has mentions of suicide.

Btw I have no idea why this is rated r there's no sex in it. Like there's jokes about it and Michael says the wrod 'kinky' and there's swearing but that's about it. Why is wattpad so strict with it's rating system?

It's Halloween night and Michael, Calum, Luke and Ashton are just watching movies because yes, they're that lame.

Last year they tried to trick or treat but well that didn't really work out. The people handing out candy didn't really appreciate four teenage boys over 6ft knocking on their door and most of them would just shut the door in their face. They also ended up scaring most of the little kids so they decided to go back home because they didn't want to ruin Halloween for the little kids or anything.

They also didn't feel like going to a lame party and it wasn't just because they weren't invited. Okay maybe it kind of was but they didn't need those people who didn't invite them. They could have just as much, in fact more fun just the four of them than they would with anyone else. At least that's what Michael said. And according to Ashton, who's finished high school and is now in college 'they don't need lame high school parties'. It alsototally doesn't have to do with fact that Liz wouldn't allow them to go.

So that's how they ended up spending their Halloween night just watching horror movies , rather bad ones, in Luke's basement.
