Chapter 1

"Hey, Justin!" Cassandra called out, Justin turned around to see Cassandra with Gerald waving at him. 'What is Gerald doing here? isn't 3:30 the dismissal time at Sacred Heart Academy? Wait what time is it?' Justin looked at the wall clock at the school entrance. 'Oh, it's 3:45!" Justin thought to himself. "Bro!" Gerald creeped out at Justin, playfully smacking his shoulder. "Whoa! What's wrong with you!?" Justin looked at his older cousin. "Wait I thought you already went home, Cassie? It's 3:45." Justin asked Casandra, Cassandra glanced at the wall clock. " Oh ye I was but I saw Gerald on his way here! So... I decided that I'll just go home with you two. Since we three live next to each other." Cassandra explained. "Well, what are going to do? Since I think Justin is finished with his practice and Cassie and I are finished with school." Gerald asked the group. "How about... Let's just have a calm walking in the park? Or chill under a tree?" Justin suggested, Cassandra and Gerald looked at him like he was a whole other person. "What happened to you? Who are you? And what on earth have you done to my friend?" Cassandra joked, still confused if she was still talking to the same Justin.

After their little walk in the park and chilling under a tree, Gerlad and Justin walked Cassandra to her house and waited for her to go inside before walking to their shared home. "Ma! Dad! we're home!" Justin shouted in the house, "Damn you loud... you know they can probably hear us go in." Gerald commented. "I know I just want them to know that we're here," Justin answered. "You say so..." Gerald stated, removing his shoes and going up to his room. Justin on the other hand looked around to go to the kitchen, to see if he can eat anything or make something to eat. 'Hmm, what can I make in here?...' Justin thought to himself, sticking his head in the fridge. "Looking for something to eat?" Gerald asked having changed his clothes into a more comfortable outfit than his school uniform. "Yeah... but it seems nothing here, I'll ask mom," Justin replied, finally out of the fridge and looking at his cousin. Justin made his way to where he thinks where his mom is while leaving Gerald in the kitchen. Gerald took a seat on the island stool and started scrolling on his phone.  Finally, a little while later Justin's mom made the boys a snack they can eat while either doing homework or playing video games. 

"Weekends... you got to love the weekends." Cassie started saying it out loud... while chilling under a tree, a brand new hobby that Justin introduced.  " Hey, Cassie!" Cassie turned her head around to see Gerald and Justin making their way towards the tree she was under. "Hi, Boys." Cassie sat up to greet them.  "Finally chilling under a tree is not weird now ey?" Justin asked poking fun at Gerald and Cassie, somewhat enjoying the 'weird' hobby. "Ehe, yeah... it's kinda fun to just breath and talk about random stuff." Gerald admitted, Then Cassie remember that little rumor at school. 'Is this why Justin is acting differently? Because he's already dating someone? Justin's acting more down to earth than usual a bit more pushed down. It's not like him to just "Let's relax under a tree." Wait I have to know who is this person.' Cassie thought to herself, " Hey, Justin! I remembered this rumor about you in school... Is it true?" Cassie asked knowing full well that Justin knows what she's talking about. "What rumor? Is it a juicy rumor?" Gerald asked with stars in his eyes, He has another subject to tease Justin with. "Oh... which rumor there's a lot... ehehehe," Justin replied, running his hand behind his neck. "Come on, Justin you know what I'm talking about! your date? date right? or are you both official?" Cassie exclaimed, smirking at Justin. " You have a what!??!?" Gerald looked at Justin. "Ok, I wasn't expecting that! Who she? Come on Justin who is she?!!!?" Gerald asked with even more amusement than earlier. " Yes! Come on Justin! You know what? Let's invite her and who knows some of her friends too!" Cassie added.

 Before Justin can utter a word he was forced to call Vee and ask her out on a game night this afternoon. "Game night? on the afternoon? That doesn't sound like a game night? That sounds like a game afternoon!" Vee replied, "I know, I know! But they both want to meet you! You can bring some of your friends too if you'd like!" Justin answered the phone. "Fine, I guess so... I see you later." Vee hung up the phone and start to panic! 'What am I going to wear? Wait this isn't a date! We're acting like it is! But shouldn't Justin explained to his friends that we are not dating?!?!? Oh! OH!!! I haven't told Ashley or even Hugo about this too!!' vee's mind was running with questions that have no answers yet. "Vee! Darling! I made you a snack!" 'Oh shoot!' "Um... Yes, mom!" Vee yelled back. Vee called her friends and told them everything. Except for the part where Vee and Justin aren't dating... Oops! Vee got dressed and waited for her friends to arrive. "Vee where are you guys even going? and what time are you guys going back home?" Vee's mom asked worriedly. " On an arcade mom! And don't worry I won't go home too late!" Vee looked at her mom with a smile. Then Ashley's dad arrived and Hugo and Ashley was already in the car. They arrived at the arcade that Justin sent to vee's phone. "Here we are! Thank you for driving us all the way here Mr. Smith!" Vee got out of the car and started looking for Justin. " Wow did she just leave us behind?" Hugo asked, looking at Ashley. "Yep, she did!" Ashley answered.

So that Afternoon Justin and his friends invited Vee and her friends Hugo and Ashley in a game night but the afternoon! All six of them- YES! All six of them! The whole gang! They all went to their first game in..."An arcade? Justin? I mean it's good but? What are we gonna do? We all could play Mario cart in our house or play an arcade game in our gaming set! We could also valorant if Mario kart isn't their thing! Minecraft! or something... Do we need to go here? There are too many people in here." said Gerald. "Come on Gerald! Justin's being humble, with Arcade games. I mean you do know how to play right? Play arcade games?" Cassandra teased Gerald. "Humble? with what? I mean going to an arcade is fun after this we can do Mario kart! Hugo is a big nerd with Super smash bros! Besides, I think Justin choose this since we all know how to play." Vee appeared out of nowhere. Justin jumped at Vee "Wha- Jesus! Where were you?!?! Also where's-" "Right here!" Justin was interrupted by Hugo and Ashley yelling at the same time. "Let's get started then!" They all went inside and start looking for good games to play and good-looking prices they can try and win! As soon as they found the perfect games to play, they all split into two groups girls vs boys. Both groups looked for good prices to win. Cassandra and Ashley made and explain the rules to everyone so that everyone can play fair and square. "Ok now for the rules!" Ashley clapped to get everyone's attention. "Rule number 1! Each team will try and get the highest points to get more tickets. One by one! That means one person will play each game we all pick." Cassandra started. "Rule number 2! When both teams are done we go to the cashier to buy more tokens and count each team's tickets. The team with more tickets will take the price." Ashley continued. "Rule number 3! No cheating and No trying to distract the person playing!" Cassandra followed. "Then the last Rule number 5! team with the more prices will pick the video game for our next game! Also, don't forget to have fun!" Ashley ended their so-called speech. Each person in both teams agreed to the said rules by Cassandra and Ashley since it seems fair.

"So... What's our first game?" Vee asked "Air hockey!" Hugo answered "Second?" Gerald asked, "Pinballs, third racing, and of course our last game DDR!" Justin listed. " Wow, that's gonna take us a long time especially DDR... " Vee remarked worriedly "Good thing we have the whole afternoon! Besides, it's the weekends." Cassandra added gleefully." Yeah! and I'm pretty sure everyone has some moves or somewhat knows how to play DDR." Hugo added. "Don't we have some things to do? Like personal agendas and some school activities we might need for next week?" Vee questioned everyone. " Nope." everyone stated and looked at Vee. " Why? Don't wanna join? It's fine! Cassie and I will play for you!" Ashley offered. "Well... I mean I do want to play but don't we have some school work to do. I mean if you guys don't, I do." Vee stated. " You do?" Justin asked sadly. " Would prefer to advance with my lessons than wait for a teacher to tell me what to do." Vee contoured " But you're the most advanced student in our class and school just started 2-3 weeks ago." Hugo commented, "Yeah loosen up a little, have a break once and a while!" Cassandra exclaimed. With that Vee finally agreed to spend her time with friends in the arcade. "Now come on! Air hockey~!! baby~! Who wants to be each team's first player!!" Hugo excitedly exclaimed. Everyone laughed at Hugo's excitement, then start choosing their first player. Justin was left behind seeing all his friends- some new starting to bond together. Little did he know Justin himself was starting to like Vee and her friends, some might say that they're both becoming good friends. Just friends you know, good friends.

Best friends and nothing else
Isn't that right Justin?... "Justin? Justin? are you okay?" Justin got out of his inner monologue and looked at Vee asking if he was ok with a concerned look on her face. "What?" Justin asked with pure confusion on his face. "Did you just black out of something? I asked if you were okay?" Vee questioned. "Yeah, yeah I'm okay... So you got your first player?"Justin smirked.
