Chapter 17 - Peter's POV

Oh It's nearly time for the new arrival!!

I wake up, to Gwen beside me. It's like a mountain on her stomach. I can tell...this baby's gonna be a lot bigger than Emma. She wakes up with a start. She grabs my hand as if she's in pain. "Gwen? You ok?" I ask, leaning over her slightly, worried she's going to go into labour. "No I'm fine. Baby kicked." She laughs. My heart beat slows down and I relax. I smile softly down at her. She smiles back. We have to go to the hospital today. And we have to stay there, until we have a new family member.

The past few months have been really good. I admire Gwen so much for handling this whole thing. One day we were sitting just watching the TV, and we saw that the murderer had been caught. I was relaxed after that and I was able to spend some quality time with Gwen. So yeah.

The next day......

My heart pounds rapidly. My baby has just been taken away by the doctor. Gwen's face is bright red, and she still is breathing heavily. I still clutch her hand. "Hey, Gwen. You did a brilliant job." I smile to her. She takes a hand a ruffles my hair, her breathing going back to normal. "Thanks bug-boy." She laughs. I pull her into a hug. Soon, the doctor comes back into the room, carrying our baby. The doctor puts him down in Gwen's arms, a beautiful baby boy. She kisses his head gently. A tear starts to trickle down her cheek. I remember everything we've went though at this moment. When I first met her. How could I have known that 6 years later I'd be married to her and have had two kids with her? The night she fell. But here she is now. I didn't do anything, I finally realise. I only tried to save her. When she broke her back. The way I climbed though the window in the hospital to be with her. Mark and Marie-Jean. Their envy towards us. Emma's birth. Everything has lead up to this moment.
