imagine: he asks you out pt 2

we start to walk through the carnival, Justin, kat and I. next thing I know, I hear my name. it's kat.

"hey y/n. I have an idea" she says

"what is it?" I wonder,

"let's hold his hand, I hold one and you hold the other," she said. I had showed her a picture of him earlier that day and she instantly thought he was cute.

"okay bet." I say. "Justin!" I say.

"yeah?" he asked.

"can we hold your hand?" I ask. his face blushes. he's liked me since freshman year, and it looked like he still did.

"uh sure." he said. kat and I then grab his hand and we walk through the carnival together to the next ride. this one spun in the air. we literally had to force Justin to get on. we stand in line and I notice that Justin is nervous.

"hey, it's okay. we will be with you." I say hugging him. we step onto the ride and it's kat, me and Justin. the ride starts and I can tell that he was tense. I grab his hand in reassurance, to calm him.

the ride ends and his heart rate went down.

•jump to the night•

I had asked kat if she wanted to spend the night and she agreed. so my mom picks us up later and we head home.

Kat and I are in my room and she asks me;

"hey, do you like him?"

taken back by her question, I lie.

"no, I don't like him." I lie. she catches on.

"y/n! you like him! I saw the way you were looking at him tonight! when you said about a cute guy, his face dropped. the way he looked at you too. take hints!" she said.

I blushed. "fine! I like him okay?" I laugh. she claps her hands in excitement.

"we have to tell him!" she says, pulling out her phone to call him. (they got each other's numbers that night) she FaceTimes him and I get nervous. it rings for a few seconds and he answered it. my heart sinks.

"hey what's up?" he said.

"hey, y/n has something to tell you." kat said. it surprised me. she handed me the phone.

"what is it y/n?" he asks with a smile on his face. I take a deep breath.

"so you know how you like me?" I ask. his face lights up.

"yeah?" he smiles.

"well, I uh- like you too." I say, blushing.

"really??" he asks in cheer.

"yeah! do you want to go to the carnival again tomorrow?" I ask.

"sure! I'd love to!" he says happily.

"okay! I'll see you then!" I say.

"okay!" he says.

"bye!" I say.

"see ya!" he says and I hang up. kat and I look at each other and smile in excitement.

•jump to tomorrow night.•

"hey!" I say and embrace him in a hug.

"hey!" he says hugging me back, along side kat. I start to walk a little bit ahead and look for other people to hang out with us.

~Kat's pov~

I gotta see if he's asking her out tonight. I see how happy he makes her and it makes me happy to see my best friend happy. I look at him.

"hey Justin." I say.

"yeah?" he asks.

"so! are you gonna ask her the big question?" I ask.

"oh yeah you bet I will." he says.

"when??" I ask in cheer.

"just wait...Ferris wheel." he smirks.

"oooooh cute cute!!" I say.

~y/n's pov~

kat went along with other friends so it's just Justin and I. we decided to play some games.

I win a couple of things and we pass another game. one thing instantly catches my eye. Bryce Harper socks. my favorite baseball player.

"oh my god!" I shriek.

"what is it?" Justin asks.

"Bryce Harper socks omg omg." I fangirl,

"you want to try for them?" he asks.

"really? I don't have money tho." I sigh.

"don't worry." he says. "I do." let me mind you, we already have a small stuffed bear and a giant stuffed dog with us so there's a lot to carry.

after what seemed like forever, we finally win them. I get excited and grab them.

"thank you!" I say.

"no problem!" he says. he honestly made my heart melt.

"wanna go on the Ferris wheel now?" he asks.

"yeah!" I say. we get in line for the Ferris wheel and start to talk about his life.

"my parents will disown me if I hit a girl, I was taught better than that." he says.

"that's good!" I say, smiling, knowing that his parents raised him right. we finally get to the cab and I lean on his shoulder, like the day prior while our stuffed toys and animals sat on the other side.

we hit the top and I hear a soft voice. Justin.

"hey." he quietly says. I look up at him.

"yeah?" I ask.

"remember how yesterday when you were saying that you've never had a boyfriend before?" he asks. the butterflies then unleash in my stomach. I smile.

"yeah." I say.

"well I can change that." he smiles.

"really?" I ask, thinking about what is about to happen.

"yep. can I be your boyfriend?" he asks. the butterflies were nonstop flying in my stomach.

"yeah." I smile, I look out while his arm is still around me and he pulls my head to face him and we come close to my first kiss. but I got the corner of my lips.

we come down the Ferris wheel and I notice kat. I call her name.

"7-19-19!" I yell. she looked confused.

"what's that?" she yells.

"today's date! 7-19-19!" I say smiling. she stands there for a minute before she realizes what I mean.

"OH MY GOD YES GIRL!" she cheers. I look at him and think to myself, I'm so lucky.
