Rainbow's POV

I was running around, playing with my 7 year old kid. How I got a kid and was able to raise it due to how immature I am, I have no idea. Oh well, I don't regret having (Y/n) cause they taught me that I can be more and a lot stronger than I thought.

We were now playing tag and I was trying to tag (Y/n) but for a kid it can run real fast, probably cause I have the speed of a Yellow Steve and they took that from me.

We eventually got tired and decided to go inside.

"Who wants some cookies?" I asked.
"Me! Me! Me!" (Y/n) shouted while jumping around me, making me giggle.
"Ok then, did you do your homework tho?" I asked with a small grin when I saw their face go a bit pale.
"U-um, yeah yeah, I did it" they lied and it was very obvious.
"Then you wouldn't mind getting it for me to see" I said.

(Y/n) looked down nervously making me shake my head and knelt down to their level.
"You don't have to be nervous to tell me that you didn't do it." I told them.
"It's just so hard and I can't finish it" they whined.
"Then ask me to help you, I'd never mind helping you with your homework and I could show you how it easy it can be" I told (Y/n) with a smile.

They nodded and ran to get their homework as I sat down at the dining table and waited for them. When they got here with their homework we did it together and finished rather quickly but we took some extra time so I can show (Y/n) how easy it can be. Once we finished we both ate a couple of cookies and talked about some fun stuff.

After awhile of watching some cartoons on the TV I looked at my kid to see them sound asleep on my lap, curled up and snuggling to me like I was their teddy bear. I smiled softly at how cute they looked and didn't want to wake them up so I carefully laid down on the couch and fell asleep with (Y/n) on my stomach.

Life as a father can be pretty tiring sometimes especially if you're a single father but it made me the happiest guy in the world and I am blessed to be able to call (Y/n) my kid.
