  Dr.Zhou laid out the data on Dr
Lingjing's desk, he examines the material. finally, he picks up the page and studies the data. The result was even worse than he had feared.
Shemwei's white count so low and his platelet count even lower
Both count severely diminishes by the chemo, inviting the possibilities not only of the infection but of hemorrhage.        

   That's the trouble with the chemo, it attacks the healthy and the cancer cells. The very White cells and platelets relied on to fight disease become victims of the chemo. Yet the disease cells had not been wiping out.
Dr. Zhou looked down on Ling jing."Extreme cases demand extreme measures. super lethal doses of radiation and chemo to wipe out all the malignant cells. And also his own bone marrow..then infuse a healthy bone marrow ."Dr.Zhou explains.

"Total body irradiation," Lingjing said.

"In this case, there is no treatment or choice," Dr.Zhou said.

"Of course, once the superlethal doses of radiation and chemo start I have to confine Shenwei to reverse isolation," Dr.Zhou added.

"Of course " Lingjing nodded.

Zhao yunlan took the news with no show of emotion. Lingjing almost wish that he show his feelings that he would breakdown cry, curse or explode in fury but yunlan just silently listen.he's afraid that he won't take it any longer.

Yunlan and Yezun arrive at home. It no more home without the person they longing to be with.

"Yezun...we both have to be tested,  tomorrow if possible. They have to found out which of one of us is compatible with Shenwei....your his twin and sibling so we have a big chance"yunlan said yezun silently listens while wiping his tears.

" you see there's a procedure called bone marrow transplant, In leukemia, the body's own immune system doesn't produce a proper number of healthy disease-fighting white cells. The fault is in the bone marrow.so what we can do now is eliminate Shenwei's faulty bone marrow using heavy concentrations of chemo and radiation they yet take bone marrow from a compatible healthy donor, like you or me, and inject it to him. During the treatment, there are some difficulties. When they wipe out Shenwei's bone marrow they also wipe out his body resistance from disease.so during the time he has to be in what we call reverse isolation. He will be moved on a small suite with a little anteroom separating him from. the outside. There will be facilities where visitors can wash .and sterile gowns to wear.but you can spend as much time with him as you do now." Yunlan went to the dem to mix himself with ink. Soon Yezun steps behind him.

"Drink?" He asked.

"Yunlan,......what does GVHD mean? yezun asked.

" its mean ...graft versus host disease. " yunlan said.

"What does it mean?"yezun asked.

" well, there are transplant cases where instead of achieving the desired result, the graft starts to attack the host...the patient that is." yunlan said.

"So a transplant could do more harm than good," Yezun said.

" I think I need a drink now...."yezun said.

" Any treatment, even the surgery that I do can sometimes backfire. We do the best we can" Yunlan said.

"I went down to the hospital library... And I asked for the latest information on bone marrow transplant... You know the case even the marrow is from an Identical twin forty to fifty percent developed GVHD.
.ther's a fifty percent chance that my marrow could kill my gege!!" Yezun voice tremble.

" we doing the best we can" yunlan said.

"Not exactly yunlan," yezun said.

"There isn't anything else left to try!" Yunlan protested.

"That precisely what I mean! From now until the end of this I want to know how bad it is...I want you to be honest with us on my gege...he is very intelligent, very sensitive." Yezun said.

The glass drops from Yunlans hands and breaks.

"I know...Only the other day he asked me ...how it feels to die...I just hold for the thought that it isn't hopeless yet... Difficult. Against the odds..but not hopeless...remember that. Yezun" yunlan said.
