Taco's POV

Gosh, where is Lollipop when you need her? And why is this tree so tall? I'm hungry, and there's no food in the house. I go outside to see THIS, an abomination of an apple tree being super tall. Oh, look at me, I'm an apple tree, so tall! Protecting my precious apple children so a hungry Taco can't reach them! The tree isn't even that tall, I'm short. Why is this happening? Why? Explain this to me, mother Nature. Ugh! I'll just have to STARVE?! Wow, so fun. I'm REALLY happy. What do I do now? Everyone should know that that apple tree is too tall and bullying me! That should be illegal. Wait, who is that? I saw someone out of the corner of my eye, who's just SLIGHTLY taller than me, tall enough to reach the apples! They're even giving the apples to someone else! Wait, I think that's Book. I have to break my one-sided eye contact. Wait, she saw me. Great, now I'm gonna get yelled at again. Just because I was stuck inside a jawbreaker... "Wow, I'm so happy, it's Taco, the abandoner. So sad she's so short, she can't reach the apples! Oh, so sad..." Book said, sarcastically. "Rude," I mumbled out. "Do you even care about my feelings?" I asked. "Uh, why should I? You abandon every living being! Do you even have feelings? I bet you don't! Because you're stupid and you abandoned me!" "I was stuck inside a jawbreaker, I couldn't have abandoned you if I was stuck inside a jawbreaker!" I squeaked. "That's a lie! I know you abandoned me! Because you abandoned me!" she said.

I had enough of her nonsense. I just ran. I didn't let my hunger bother me, I just ran. Where? I don't know. Just, away from Book. I stopped in about 10 minutes. Near a shopping mall. I went in and started looking around. Not for something to buy, but for somewhere to hide. As I was looking for somewhere to hide, I walked into Lollipop. "Oh, sorry Lollipop, didn't see you there..." I said. "It's okay Taco," she replied. "but, not to be rude or anything, but why are you here? Isn't your home about 5km away from here?" "One word. Book." I sighed. "Book's claiming you abandoned her again?" she asked. I nodded. "Do you... uh... how do I say this... um... Do you want to come to stay at my place to stay away from her for a night, or however long you want to stay?" she asked. I noticed her cheeks got a tint of red. Mine probably did too. "Okay!" I smiled. "I can drive you to your place so you could take something along if you want." she offered. "Sure!" I squeaked. "You can stay in the car, or just follow around until I buy the rest of my stuff." "I'll just follow around, I'll get bored in there," I said.

After Lollipop bought all of her stuff, we started walking to her car. I started to walk onto the road, only to be lifted. "Hm?" I asked, confused about why she was lifting me. "Taco, are you blind? There was a car right there," she explained. "Oh, you're right. I'm probably blind!" I said. She just chuckled and put me down. We walked to the car. "Back seat or front seat?" she asked. "Front seat!" I said. She chuckled and opened the front door for me. I hopped in and she closed the door for me too. Afterwards, she went to the other side of the car and took the driver seat. "Do you have your seatbelt on?" she asked. "Maybe," I said with a smirk. "I won't start driving until you give me a 'Yes' or a 'No'!" she said. "I guess we're staying here then," I said. "I guess I'll check myself, then!" she said. She waved her hand over my head. She rolled her eyes and smiled. "You could of have said it was on, you know?" she chuckled and started driving. "You know where I live, right?" I asked, just to make sure. "Unless you've moved, then yes." Lollipop said. "I'll take that as a yes." I smiled. Before I knew it, we were already at my house. "Need me to come with you?" she asked. "If you want to," I replied. "I want to if you want to," she said. "Uh, I don't know, just come along." I smiled. She locked her car and we went inside. I unlocked the house door and let her inside. "Wait, I just realised I don't know what to take along," I stated. "I'll help you." she offered. "Okay!" I said. "Let's go!" I said, dragging her to my room.

After packing, we went back outside. She opened and closed the door for me again, and we started our journey to her house. I just talked with Lollipop for the whole ride. After the ride, I got out of the car and closed the door after myself. Lollipop lifted me again and just carried me inside her house. "Lollipop, I have legs, you know...?" I said. She ignored me and just sat me down onto her bed, sitting next to me. "Wait, I just realised, I don't have any extra beds or mattresses," she said. "I can sleep on the floor...?" I offered. "No, if anyone has to sleep on the floor it shall be me." Lollipop explained. "Okay then," I said. "You can sleep in my bed," she said. Sleep in her bed? What? "O-okay." I stuttered. What am I even saying?! "Actually, Taco, I've been wanting to tell you something for a while..." she said. What could that be? A deep fear? A big secret? "Okay, what is it?" I looked at her with curiosity in my eyes. "The truth is, um... I like you." I blushed the biggest blush on my face. "You... you like me?" I asked. "Sorry, I know you don't like me back..." "Lollipop... I-I, uh..." I stuttered. And I kissed her. Both of our faces drowned in blush. "I like you too," I said with half-closed eyes. She hugged me. "I love you, Taco." "I love you too, Lollipop." I melted into the hug. Lollipop was nice and warm. "Can we hug forever?" I asked. She just chuckled and laid down, taking me with her.  After about 5 minutes we were still hugging. "So... are we dating now...?" I asked. "Yeah," she replied. We eventually fell asleep, still hugging.
