Tiana and Y/N worked as a waitress and waiter at a nearby bakery cooking some delicious beignets and other various foods for local customers. Y/N and Tiana still held on tightly to their dream of building and running their own restaurant, they planned for it to be big enough to hold a party and plenty of guest tables, they even had a name picked out ; 'Tiana and Y/N's palace'. "Hey Y/N, that was our last order." Said Tiana handing Y/N the tray "Wow, we got a lot of customers today sis, how much do you think we made?" Said Y/N as he sat the tray next to the oven cooking the next batch of beignets "Hmm. I think we made at least $10.00 in total so far." Said Tiana smiling, as she then noticed the look on her brothers face. He looked rather uneasy. "Hey Y/N? Are you feelin okay?" Asked Tiana raising an eyebrow "Huh? Oh no I'm fine Tia, works just been stressful ya know?" Said Y/N turning away with a fake smile looking at the time on the clock, waiting for the exact time the next beignets should be ready. Tiana knew her brother like the palm of her hand, she could see through that fake smile and knew something was wrong. "Y/N, what's wrong. I can see it in your face." Y/N sighed, as he slowly turned to his hard working sister and nervously rubbed the back of his neck "It's just...do you think we'll still get our palace? I mean, the way things are going, we haven't been able to raise nearly enough to build our palace." Said Y/N looking to Tiana, who responded with a hopeful smile and chuckled "Every little penny counts, Y/N." Said Tiana raising her hand out and flipping a penny to which Y/N had caught in his palm, and opened it to look at it. "Trust me on this, we'll get there someday. Just, not right now." Y/N couldn't help but smile at Tiana's response. He doesn't know how she does it, but Tiana always looked on the bright side of a bad situation since they were kids. Suddenly Eli la Bouff entered the restaurant and greeted Tiana who brought him a fresh batch of beignets. As Eli sat down and chatted with Tiana, he told about the news that prince Naveen was going to be visiting New Orleans and he was going to have him as his personal guest in his mansion, and he was also planning to have his daughter marry him and inherit his family's fortune. Then his daughter, Charlotte La Bouff came in the door
