Yeosang suppressed a squeal the following morning when he woke up.
Inches from his face was Jun, his whiskers so close they tickled his face. The cat purred and then walked off, his job of waking Yeosang up completed.
The sun shone through Wooyoung's curtains, evidence of the storm last night completely gone.
Yeosang sat up rubbing his eyes and then he looked over at Wooyoung.
His Wooyoung.
His Boyfriend.
Yeosang hoped it wasn't all a dream and that when Wooyoung did wake up that he'd still want to call him that. Yeosang had never expected for Wooyoung to dive right in to a relationship like he had. He'd thought that they just continue kissing and later down the track make it official.
Now that Wooyoung was his though, he wasn't going to let him get away.
Wooyoung was still fast asleep, his mouth ajar, small snores escaping his mouth and his hair an absolute dishevelled mess. Yeosang wanted to run his fingers through his hair but he also didn't want to wake him.
Yeosang fell back on his pillow rolling to the side. He wouldn't leave Wooyoung's room until Wooyoung was awake so he settled for just looking at all the things in the older's room, trying to learn more about the man he was now calling his boyfriend.
Yeosang looked at Wooyoung's books, from his position on his side it was easier to read the spines of the books. Yeosang rolled to his other side, the underside of Wooyoung's bed coming into view. He had clothes stuffed under there, sports equipment shoes, more books and a stack of magazines.
Yeosang decided to grab the magazines to look at while he waited for Wooyoung to wake up.
The stack was quite large and heavy and was pushed right down the back so Yeosang had to scootch his body under the bed just to grab them.
Once he had the stack in his hands he sat up again and placed them in front of him. There was plenty to choose from. On the top was a sports car magazine, Yeosang liked cars so he flicked through that one first, the next magazine was about cats and pet care, Yeosang enjoyed looking at the pictures in that one.
Yeosang sifted through a couple more magazines, and he had to suppress yet another inhumane squeal, well screech rather when he reached the magazines at the bottom.
Yeosang's mouth dropped open as he held the two magazines in his hands. Yeosang looked at the magazines and then to Wooyoung and then back to the magazines.
'Gay Weekly' and 'Hot to Trot' were the two magazines Yeosang held in his hands.
Yeosang himself never bought any of these magazines, he was gay yes, and the men in there were hot, but it was all just fake. He didn't like how the magazines glorified and bedazzled gay culture, like it was some sort of sparkly show.
The magazines showed how society saw gay culture, or rather pressed the idea of how they wanted gay culture to be seen. They emphasised that gay people were 'loud' and 'flamboyant', and yes it was glittery and bright sometimes, but it wasn't always like this. To Yeosang being gay was more than just bright colours and glitter. There are humans behind all that show glow.
Yeosang hated that for people who may just stumble upon these magazines or whom were questioning who they were that this is what they saw. These magazines weren't real they were to his eyes unrealistic.
So why the hell did Wooyoung have these?
If this was the sort of stuff Wooyoung read just exactly did he truly think inside?
