Chapter Three: A Date?

Akira's P.O.V.

          For the past few minutes, Skull proceeded to stroke my hair. And I loved every second of it. To me, it felt relaxing, probably due to the fact that I'm a werecat. I scooted closer to him as he kept petting me, and I continued to purr softly. I felt my eyelids growing heavy, and I let out a quiet yawn. Skull gently pulled his hand away from my head, and I slowly stopped purring and felt my ears turn back to normal.

          "You seem tired.. We should get going." Skull says. He looks at me and smiled. "I'll carry you back to the Mona Bus." I let out a small chuckle, thinking he was joking with me. He suddenly then picks me up and holds me bridal style. My face flushed bright pink, which I'm sure Skull was able to see. He looked at me with a smirk, before leaning his head down and giving me a kiss on the cheek.

I felt my face heat up intensity and my eyes widen in surprise. I covered my face in embarrassment as he carried me onto the Mona Bus. When we got on, Panther and Queen were looking at us with huge smiles on their faces.

          "What's with the look?" I ask them. They exchange giggles with each other before replying.

          "Oh it's nothing~!" Panther says cheerfully. I shrug it off and sit down as we start driving out of Mementos.

~Timeskip to when they return home~

          I enter LeBlanc quietly, and saw Sojiro waiting at the counter. He looks over at me and gives me a small welcoming grin.

          "Ah, you're back.." he says. I greet him back, half talking and half yawning. "You seem tired.. You should go to bed. You have school tomorrow, and I don't want any reports about you falling asleep in class.." I nod at him, and I go up to my room, with only one thought on my mind: Was Ryuji's kiss just to mess with me, or was it a confession?

Ryuji's P.O.V.

          I laid in my bed and stared at my phone, just playing one of those mobile games that are always advertised for. I then started to get a few messages from a new chat that Ann had made, containing all the Phantom Thieves, except Akira. I opened up IM's to see what had been said.

Ann: Hey Ryuji, how did the convo with Akira go?

Yusuke: Was he alright?

Ryuji: Had a rough start then it got better

Makoto: That's good

Ann: Also.. Ryuji.. Care to explain this~?

          I swear I almost spat out my soda when I saw what she had sent. It was a picture of me holding Akira, and kissing him. I have never responded faster in my life.

Ryuji: What the hell?! You were watching us??!

Makoto: It was interesting to watch

Yusuke: If you don't mind, Ryuji, may I use this as inspiration for my next masterpiece?

Ann: Did you finally confess your love to him before giving him that kiss~?

Ryuji: ??! How did you know I liked him that way??!

Yusuke: It is honestly quite obvious

Ryuji: For real..?

Ann: Every time Akira's mentioned in anything, your face turns red and you have trouble talking

Ann: You should ask him out on a date!!

Ryuji: Huh?? But why if he says no?? I don't even know if he likes me back!!

Ann: If you don't I'm telling him that you have a huge crush on him tomorrow in class~

Ryuji: Uugggghhh fine

Ann: Yay! Can't wait to see how it goes~!

          I turn off my phone and toss it to the end of my bed, and I buried my face in a pillow. Great. They all knew about my crush on Akira. Hopefully he'll be okay with going on a date with me. Maybe that kiss wasn't such a good idea..

~Timeskip to after school the next day~

          I quickly exited Shujin and started to make my way home. I felt like I was forgetting something, but I wasn't sure what.

          "Hey Ryuji!" Ann's voice rang out as she ran up next to me. "Did you ask Akira out yet~?" Crap! That's what I was forgetting!

          "Shit! I forgot! I'll ask him right now!" I say, quickly pulling out my phone. Ann giggle a bit to herself.

          "Well, I can't wait to see how it goes! Good luck~!" She then skips off. I let out a sigh as I look down at my phone. I was really starting to reconsider doing this, but if I didn't, I may never have another opportunity to ask him out. So, here goes nothing..

Ryuji: Hey Akira?

Akira: Hm? You need something?

Ryuji: I was wondering.. uhhh

Ryuji: Do you want to go out sometime this week?

Akira: Like a date?

Ryuji: Something like that I guess

Akira: Sure. Got nothing better to do this week

Akira: Not counting the Palace heist

Ryuji: For real?? Awesome! When do you want to go? I was thinking today but it might be too soon

Akira: No, today's fine. Where do you want to go?

Ryuji: My first thought was the ramen place I like, but I thought you might want to get sushi or something, cause of.. ya know

Ryuji: Werecat issues

Akira: Ramen's fine with me. I'll leave at around 6:30, is that okay?

Ryuji: Yeah it's fine!

Akira: Cool, can't wait. I'll see you there

          I put my phone away, a dorky smile resting on my face. He actually said yes! Hopefully everything goes well and doesn't turn into a shit show.. I quickly head home to get ready for my dinner date with Akira.
