16 Long Years

Jadah's pov

I woke up looking around becaussee it's my birthday and also the day my little girl graduates. I can't believe she's actually leaving Atlanta to go to UCLA and become a professional dancer and singer. I love Layah so much she's so talented and beautiful I'm going to miss her.

Ok it's been about 16 years since I had her . August is now 37 and I'm 34. if your parents are at this age and you call them old, trust me , they aren't . the way me and aug still get down I'm pretty sure your parents can too.

"Aug stop that! " I yelled as he picked me up putting my back against the wall.

"Nah beybeh lemme slide inna-" he started but got interrupted when the door flew open.

"OH MY GOD DO YOU GUYS HAVE TO HAVE SEX ON EVERY IMPORTANT DAY OF MY LIFE ?" Layah screamed running threw the house like a mad woman . "I need help I'm graduating today I need help
Mom why aren't you helping me" she began crying on Tyler's chest .

Who is Tyler ? A few years back our neighbors died in a house fire and they saved him just in time so we decided to adopt him. He's 19 he's on his second year of college and plays basketball for his college soon to be drafted because he's a big deal. he decided to take the weekend off to help Layah get ready.

"Layah stop being a girl and get yo heavy ass off me " he said pushing her.

"Tyler I hate you ! " She stormed out the room and aug put me down.

" Nigga don't do my beybeh like dat" aug said laughing with Tyler and playfully pushing him walking out the room to talk to Layah I guess.

"Mama yo daughter need help with her crazy ass "

"I know she get it from aug." I said laughing .

"No the hell!" Aug yelled back.

Layah Pov

This is not the time or place for laughing . I got 6 hours to be at my graduation and my hair isn't even flat ironed and lord knows it'll take forever .
Anyways let me try to be normal for a second .

Hi I'm Layah Marie Alsina my father is August Alsina and my mother is Jada Alsina. I love to sing and dance and I also have a secret that I can't tell anybody yet. I don't want you guys to look at me any type of way when you barely know me.

Finally I got everything done and got to my graduation on time because if not I'll be pissed.

"Layah Marie Alsina!" I smiled as the called my name and made my way up on stage smiling . I grabbed my diploma and shook his hand smiling for the picture that flashed two seconds later. Gosh I'm so happy I'm done with this dumb ass school.

After graduation me and some friends started dancing and we was doing the krew slide just doing random dances and it was really fun.

"Layah look!" One of my friends said . I liked over and saw the band from our enemy school the Creek High Sea Lions . I looked around and saw their majorette team lined up and their band lined up. I ran to the car and grabbed a pair of shorts sliding them under my dress.

Every so often they like to have a stand battle with us and I get mad because we aren't ready and they have the advantages becaussee their coach was a professional dancer.

I got out the car and pulled my hair up and saw all the other dancers ready. I stood in front in my place since I am the captain and our band started playing and news crews showed up recording and the parents recorded also.

I threw the first stand dancing as hard as I could but still making it look good. then we all did the stand again then the rest DID it again. hopefully they hit all their head turns neck snaps and hair flips because that's what makes the routine.

The Sea Lions started their stand doing all the extra stuff jumping switching spots and everything and I frowned because it was clearly better then they did our stand from the last time.

"I kept telling you to come over to the Sea Lions and live your dreams and stop rolling around in the mud with those hooligans." I heard their coach say looking at me . " Your so talented and beautiful, now it doesn't matter because your going off to college now. with no scholarship for dance now all of my girls have one to the school of their choice . We only have one more scholarship take it or leave it." she said walking back to their bus. I sighed and dropped my position I feel like I failed the whole school.

"Girl fuck them we still did our thang this is the best we looked in a long time. " one girl said.

"Right I'm glad alexia was out because she would have threw that wack ass stand and we would have looked worse." Another girl said .

" thanks guys ." I said and I walked to the car and got in slowly.

I'm just ready for a new start in Cali .
