"Now where is that little monkey anyway?"
Dianne giggled, both pairs of eyes drifting to the spare bedroom door. "In dreamland, most likely in a one direction concert."
Joe grinned. "Oh really, Zoe's most likely with her, did you know Zoe loved one direction?" Dianne raised her eyebrows higher than the sun. She most definitely didn't know this, but it intrigued her. "Yeah, which is probably why I know most of the songs, because of her singing them all the bloody time."
She laughed as she rested her head on his shoulder, although an idea was sementing in her mind. The thought made her giggle a little. "Mm, maybe this could work to our advantage at the next birthday party? Hmm?" She asked innocently.
He pursed his lips together. Revealing his knowledge of the one direction repetoire might have just become one of his biggest regrets. She looked up at him pleadingly, giving him puppy dog eyes.
There was no way he was getting out of this one.
He sighed. "Maybe I'll get the others involved too. I think Caspar would make a really great Niall, don't you think?" She couldn't help but burst out laughing at the thought of it. They kept their laughs a little quieter than usual, aware that there was a sleeping five year old in the next room.
"I think." She kissed his cheek. "That would be brilliant. She'd love it!" As Joe chuckled, she started to wander over to the door, treading backwards and grinning at her boyfriend. He smiled fondly at her before getting started on breakfast.
As he got started on breakfast, Dianne slowly opened the door, smiling as she saw Emelia sound asleep, all tucked up in bed. She was surprised that she was still asleep after all that laughing, but she wasn't exactly complaining either.
Dianne sat on the end of the bed. "Emelia, sweetie..." She gently tapped the sleeping girl a few times before she stirred, the blue in her eyes bright. "Morning."
"Morning mama..." She sat up slowly, adjusting her nightdress with her eyes still closed before letting out a big yawn, complete with a big morning stretch. "I had the bestest dream!"
"Oh did you? What was it?" Dianne giggled.
Emelia coughed before she spoke. "We all went to Australia together, and Joe got to meet everyone and they all really really loved him, and then we all went to the beach together." She explained, getting more and more excited with every word that left her lips.
This wasn't a one direction concert, but Dianne definitely wasn't complaining. She smiled, trying not to get too emotional at this time in the morning, no matter how poignant the dream was. "That's lovely, and I like the sound of that. Maybe next year we could all go together? How does that sound?"
Emelia beamed. "Yes!" She punched her fists into the air. "GET IN!"She had clearly been hanging around Joe, and these little mannerisms were something Dianne would never get tired of, ever. She giggled, adjusting to stand. Emelia grinned, getting up also. "I think it would be really fun."
"Me too." Just as Emelia went to speak, Joe, who was creeping up behind Dianne, put his finger to his lips. Emelia nodded. "Can we go in the holidays?"
"Yeah, we will have to AAAAAAAH!" Dianne jumped out of her skin. Emelia was giggling her head off, jumping up and down. Joe smirked at Dianne, clearly strike faced. She hit him over the head gently. "Don't do that! It's early!"
"Sorry love, but it would have been rude not to." He held his hands up innocently, Dianne shaking her head at him. "We got her good."
"Who is we?" Dianne asked, laughing, gasping as she turned to face the very tiny child, who shrugged. Joe chuckled, quickly pecking her cheek to apologise. "I hate you so much." She giggled. Joe rolled his eyes, this little prank war between them wasn't going to be ending anytime soon. She then shook her head at Emelia.
