"So what dance are you doing this week?"
The three were in Joe's car, doing the usual school run before rehearsals. There would also be another school run later in the day which meant that she would be at the evening part of rehearsals, which always excited Emelia, getting to see Mama and Joe dance together in the dance studio. That Monday morning had brought extremely cold weather, so cold that a pink hue had taken up permanent residence on Emelia's cheeks.
Dianne looked in the rear view mirror, catching Emelia's eye. "We are doing a Viennese Waltz, it's a ballroom dance. It's a romantic one." She explained, smiling at the last part. Joe also mirrored this response. This week would no doubt be an enjoyable week, being able to do a romantic dance with the love of your life, but they weren't forgetting about the challenge of hiding their relationship from the rest of the world. But they could always just say it was acting.
'Acting.'
Emelia giggled, grinning at the mirror. "I think you'll be really good at that one." Joe glanced briefly over at Dianne, who couldn't help but giggle at the response. "Really really good."
"I reckon we will be too, and I think..." Dianne spotted the school close by, the headteacher stood by the gate as normal. This is what they always did, and it worked wonders at avoiding the crowds of school children every morning, as much as they wanted to meet as many fans as possible. "This is your stop Angel. You got everything?"
"Yes mama." She unclipped her seatbelt, grabbing her school bag and standing up. "I'm going to draw you both a picture in drawing class, and I'll show you later." She beamed as the teacher opened the door, saying a quick hello to Joe and Dianne.
The headteacher, Miss Woods, has gotten to know Dianne very well over the past few months, and also had been witness to the blossoming relationships between the three of them, becoming a proper little family before her very eyes.
Dianne smiled, waving to the headteacher. "That sounds nice. I can't wait to see it."
"Me neither." Joe added, Emelia nodding to them both.
"Bye mama, bye Joe!" She said before getting out of the car and standing by Miss Woods, hearing them both shout responses back, Emelia waving as the car faded off into the distance. "I hope mama and Joe stay together forever."
Miss Woods smiled, taking a breath that was fuller than usual. She felt slightly taken back at what she had heard from the five year old who clearly was delighted with how things were unfolding. "That's lovely, and shall we go in before we get too cold?"
Emelia nodded as she hugged herself for added effect. She shouted, "Yep, I'm freezing to death!"

The two of them entered the dance studio which was like a freezer, full of chill and no heat to be felt, not an inch of warmth in the air.
Trent stood in the corner of the room and was setting up the music, ready for not one dance but two dances. This week was semi finals week, which meant double the dances and double the pressure. It was quite funny really as the two dances they had were the dances that arguably required the most chemistry, and no doubt that following Saturday the public would be more suspicious than ever, and the media would be having field days.
The first dance, as mentioned before, was the Viennese Waltz and was a dance that could easily be performed at a wedding. When Dianne has found out the song and dance, she was understandably excited, but also nervous at the same time. It was clear from very early on that ballroom was Joe's strong suit, whether it be his long neck and impeccable top line or his musicality and stage presence, plus the connection he had with his dance partner, he had all the attributes of a talented ballroom dancer. So the fact they had two ballroom numbers right before the final was a blessing to say the least.
