I can't seem to have a good sleep no matter how comfortable I am with Gina's expensive sheets. The terrors of my parents brutally mutilated. Who would do such a thing? Of course, the news came out fast and the people around me could only look at me with sympathy. Which will not make any difference in what occurred that night. Starting to feel uncomfortable with all the new attention being given to me the officer handling my family's case starts exploding my phone with endless calls. Why can't no one understand that I can't be bothered right now.

The conversation was a typical interrogation from timestamps from the ones caught on camera or any suspects that I have set my eyes own recently. Honestly, I don't wanna let them help in this case as that one suspect that I'm accusing right now is none other than the guy sitting across from me. Anyone can clearly see that he is a little bit shaken which others may clarify as being scolded by his mom for going through with his friend's party seeing that it landed them in the principal's office.

Major alert, mama's boy.

But I know better he was clearly shaken by getting caught red-handed. He looks so pathetic right now that I wanna smash his head in. Gina was looking over curiously to where I was looking and she snarls. She gets up from our table ready to embarrass Carter's group from ever stepping up to Bob's diner. And I'm going to enjoy this.

"Listen up here Carter! I don't know what possessed you and your pathetic excuse of friends to not pay up after eating!"

Gina's outburst caught everyone's attention. Remind me why I'm enjoying this again¿ Oh yes because I've been Gina's shadow for too long to know that she can drag you down and you'd become an outcast just by a snap. That way my work would be easier no one will know Carter will be gone for good by the end of the school year. And forever hopefully.

"Look Gina I get it we all admire your work alcoholic parents and your duties to remove some pressure off their shoulders while being a straight a student. But that doesn't make you all innocent we all know you're dating Hal Cooper the drug dealer on the campus." Brick the leader of Carter's clique spat.

"Yeah, Gina how do you cover up his creepy murder spree while sleeping soundly at night?" another of the gang spoke up.

Yeah, big mistake buddy. I haven't even blinked when Gina's fist collided with Brick's face and soon enough she beat them both almost to death that I had to break them up.

Detention again and well I'm used to it. But Gina's new here. I'm usually the one helping out Hal Cooper with his businesses.

"Angie I am so sorry you got into this mess..."

"Do most of our tasks and I'll consider it as an apology." I slump onto a couch and read the text that popped up on my phone screen. It was the officer telling me to call as soon as I read the text.

"Anything to tell me, officer?"

"Yes it is about your safety, your auntie from America decided it was best to make your stay in a foster home for the meantime" I end the call quickly cutting off the officer's word. Why is my auntie getting into this? I thought my parents cut all ties with their dark family. They were always judged harshly by our other relatives. But to me, they just simply creepy and greedy.

I bite my lip hard trying to push my thoughts away. At least I'm not staying with her.

"If you need anything I'm here okay? And thanks for today." Gina rubs my shoulder ensuring me everything's gonna be fine before leaving.

The officer calls again and I just prayed it isn't auntie — related anymore.

"Anything else you wanna tell me¿"

"I was calling to again to tell you that your foster parents are gonna pick you up from school."

"May I know their last names?"

"They are the Ports."
