Angie's Pov
"Angie! Angie! Please serve the burgers and fries to table 3!" the grumpy old lady in the cashier orders as if she hasn't pushed my limit yet.
I sighed forcing my body to move I can't wait to spend time with my family when I get home.
"This is bullshit." my best friend Gina groans.
"Chill Gina what got you so riled up?"
"Some of our good for nothing classmates like Carter thought it was fun to run out of the restaurant without paying."
"So? We always have cases like that."
"Yes but Mr. Robins thought otherwise! He noticed the logo of the uniforms so I have to search and hunt them down!" I let out a laugh ruffling her dark browned hair before packing seeing that I have finished my shift.
The front porch lights were still on indicating my parents were still awake. I break into a smile quickening my pace.
Suddenly the strong smell of metallic blood greets me. I freeze in my steps unable to let out a scream nor move.
Why?
I caught a glimpse of someone in the corner of my eye I turn to only meet with lime green ones.
Carter Port
Carter breaks into a run and out of instinct I grabbed the telephone.
"911 what's your emergency?"
" There has been a massacre down Oliver street please come quickly!" I stayed on the line anxiously waiting. My senses came to a halt.
Angie
Angie
Angie
"Ms. Angie! Are you sure none of your family members associated with any gang-related activities?" the officer's hands were on my shoulder still shaking me slightly. I push his hands off as I regain my composure.
"Why would you think of that? For all, we know there's a killer on the loose plotting his next victim."
"I see. Ms. Angie, I think it is best if you can get some rest with a friend of yours while we do our patrols around the house... I am sorry if I offended you in this matter of time." I let out a sigh the thought of resting never crosses my mind. I was too disturbed by my own thoughts. On different ways on how to serve justice. But I know that I need a shoulder to rely on with all of this going on.
I grab my phone and dial Gina's number. Having to force myself to tell Gina everything trying not lose my composure, the officers were around. Gina tells me to stay put and she was getting in the car before ending the call.
On the way to Gina's house, she tries to control herself from asking questions.
She knows better.
I know better.
That it won't end well if she goes there.
I lay in the red velvet sheets looking out the shining moon from the window.
Any person would call me stupid for not telling the policemen what I saw, but I contemplate more on revenge.
I'm coming for you Carter Port.
