Office of the Nevermore Captain

Wren sat in front of the strange wooden desk, carved and engraved with images of ancient creatures that even he hadn't seen since his egg-days, back when his kind were still on their own planet. He tilted his head, glancing up at the captain who sat with her cloak off and pool around her in the chair.

"So... your name is Eiwren'Teiran, possible Alpha and princeling to your clan of Icers that were all killed when the scientists tried to melt your glacier down for more water and resources. Interesting... You recovered exceptionally well inside the tank, a little more than we originally thought. Your wings are full grown, you have all the muscle again, and your telepathy has broadened to where you can actually feel Akifa's mind on the Maiden, correct?" she asked, looking up over her monitor as Wren nodded, perched on the chair as he glanced down at his tail, sadly forever unable to bend and slither flawlessly. Due to how badly they broke his tail, the tank regenerated the bones inside fused together in one solid bone with spacing for bending slightly. Not quite his flexible, serpentine tail, but still powerful.

(Captain... I can't communicate with him for too long. I've sensed his mind being compromised, and somehow it feels... wild, rabid almost in anger. I have a feeling he might be too compromised, so I kept it to a single message. Thank you though... for the week and a half of healing, you didn't need to.)

"Actually I did, your Doc was very insisting to finish her sessions with you, and ensure you are completely healed and ready for re-testing as a full pilot. Now, before we go to the Iron Maiden, and have one of the ugliest family feuds, we did detect something in a belt of forgotten asteroids and broken comets. We were hoping you might take a look, see if maybe something isn't recognizable to you. We found a power signature there that doesn't' exist on any of our archives or servers with details in every home-system known so far. I'm thinking... it might be a Primal artifact, but with an actual member of the Primal species, I thought it would help if you took a look, see if you could identify it?" she asked, pulling up the frequency as Wren leaned in close to the monitor, sniffing at the holographic screen, furrowing his brow.

(Mmm... it does sound familiar... like a faint singing I might've heard years ago.) He frowned, tapping his claws rhythmically on the desk as he growled low, listening to the frequency more than once as he tried to rack his brains.

(Gods, I can't put a name to it... I know I've heard it before...) He grumbled, flicking his tail tip as he sat back on the chair, Ravyn giggling softly as she shut the book.

"Well, for now, let's get you some rest. Find some good food, I promise ours is all real and not plant based. Of all my crewmates, I'm letting you have full access over the whole ship, to gain your trust." She held up a band to latch onto his wrist as it glowed lightly, showing his name written in Universal with a barcode.

(How do I use it?)

"Just let the scanners see the barcode, and you're good to enter! Just keep in mind, it also counts as a way to pay, and as far as I know, you don't have any credits. Just be careful," she advised, smiling as Wren shrugged before heading out. He glanced both ways down the halls before heading down the hall lined with windows, letting him see out into the stars. He sighed softly, looking through the stars and nebula clouds as his heart twisted, whimpering softly. His mind searched out, trying to find Akifa's mind-link again as he felt nothing but rage, burning fiery rage with a great sadness deep inside.

(Oh love... You ache so much, but you still know. You know it deep in your bones.) He smiled softly, loving his stubborn fool even more as he went to the medical wing, sniffing the door as he tapped the door.
