Taeyong and Yuta successfully escaped the palace. They barely jumped the fence before a loud group tore open the doors and frantically searched for him. Guards ran left and right, disappearing through the dark night.
"We better get going if we don't want to be caught. This way." Yuta informed and ran off.
Taeyong took one last look at his home and took off after Yuta. This was it. This was his new start to a better life. A life he'd want to actually live in. It was finally up to him to decide what he wants to do now. No more servants, guards, people serving you hand and foot. It was him and only him now.
Just the thought of it made him feel excited inside. He happily smiled before catching up to Yuta and never looking back once.

The boys hopped onto a train and it took them all the way to Incheon. There, they jumped off and quietly made their way into town.
"I can't believe that worked." Yuta said shocked and out of breath.
"We're free man. But now what?" Taeyong asked.
BREAKING NEWS!
Son of Chairman Lee has ran away from the palace and the night of his wedding! There will be a reward for anyone who finds and returns him to the palace! Please notify if seen!"I think we better find somewhere to hide for now. C'mon." Yuta pulled for Taeyong to follow.
The two turned a corner and ran into two other bodies. Yuta and the boy stood off. Taeyong couldn't help but stare at the girl still on the ground. Her eyes met his for a quick second before pulling herself up. Taeyong quickly followed and held Yuta back.
The four turned their own ways before Taeyong turned back and faced the girl.
"Sorry about him."
"It's whatever. Just watch where you're going next time." she glared before walking off with her friend.
He watched them run off.
"Tae-"
"C'mon we gotta keep going."—
The boys ran to a small broken down garage. It seemed abandoned, so they settled there for the night.
"It's nothing much, but we'll stay here for tonight." Yuta said apologetic.
"This place is great. Let's just fix it up and stay here. I don't need anything fancy. I ran away from that, remember? You get some rest, I'll take the first shift." he walked around the place.
Yuta shrugged and tried to get some shut eye. Instead, he watched Taeyong inspect the place. He watched how the older one slowly fell in love with the beaten down place. Without noticing, he soon fell asleep until the early morning.
—
Taeyong waited until Yuta was fully asleep before leaving. He made his way back into town and quietly made his way around. He picked up supplies and food for them. He was also able to snatch some new clothes and hair dye.
When he returned, Yuta was still fast asleep. Taeyong closed the latch and made his way over to his friend. He opened the stolen blanket and tossed it over the younger one. He turned away and took his shirt off to color his blacked hair. An hour passed and his hair was all colored. He used the scissors and gave himself a haircut.
He lifted his head and was shocked at his own appearance. It was like a completely different person. He checked himself out but couldn't get used to his new look.
He went outside to find some place to shower. Luck was on his side as he found a shower head and a hose. He brought the items back home and built in a shower. He didn't have hot water yet, so he showered in freezing cold water. After, he changed into the new clothes he had stolen.
Once finish, he started cleaning the garage. Clearing space, dusting things off, and reorganizing furniture. By the time he was finish, the sun was already rising. He sat in the old chair and just sat there. His body was tired, but his mind was ready for more. He felt alive. He felt like this was how he was supposed to live. Caring for himself.
Yuta began moving and opened his eyes to a new place. His eyes shot open and he sat up straight. He searched the room to find a tired Taeyong sitting on an old couch. He stretched from the long nap before making his way to the older one.
"Looks like you had an exciting night." he joked.
"There's some extra dye over there for you. You know, if you wanted to change your look." the older one said tiredly.
"Get some sleep."
"Nah. I feel so alive right now. I feel like we should go do something."
"Like what?"
"Let's go get a tattoo."
