I walk up to Meadow and we go into the mall. We stop by a couple of regular clothing stores before going to get our dresses. We walk into the huge store.
Dresses line every wall. Meadow looks around joyfully and I laugh. We walk around and Meadow picks out a few that she likes. We go to the dressing rooms and I sit outside.
The first dress she comes out in is blue lace and has no straps. It has sequins at the bottom of it. It is about three inches past her knees and allows her walking room.
I give her a thumbs up and she walks back into the dressing room. The next one she comes out in is a yellow dress that goes down to her knees. It has straps with flowers on them and it compliments her eyes.
"I like this one the best so far," I tell her. She nods and goes to try on the last one. She comes out in a red dress that goes down to her mid-thigh. It's really sparkly and has sleeves. I shake my head no.
"Okay. So which one do you think I should get?" She asks. I have no hesitation when I tell her my answer. She smiles and changes back into her regular clothes.
We give the lady the two dresses that we didn't like as much and we go to look for mine. I was stuck between two of them so Meadow makes me go to try them on.
I throw the dress over my head and adjust the straps. I look in the mirror and smile. I go out for Meadow. I'm wearing a black dress that has straps. It has sequins at the bottom and goes down to my mid-thigh.
Meadow jumps up and down when she sees me. She gives me a thumbs up and pushes me back into the dressing room. I slip into the second dress. It feels really silky.
I walk out and Meadow's jaw drops in awe. It's a silver dress that sparkles. There are no sleeves and it goes down just past my knees.
She takes a picture of me and sends it to the others. I grin.
"So this one then?" I ask. She nods violently. I laugh and change back into my clothes. I grab the dress I chose and we walk up to the cashier.
"That will be four hundred ten dollars and thirty-nine cents," he says. I pay three hundred and Meadow pays the rest. We walk from store to store with our new dresses in hand.
We walk to a shoe store and pick out shoes that match our dresses. I get silver flats with silver flowers on them. Meadow gets yellow flats with pink flowers on them.
We pay for them and go to the food court. I go over to a sandwich place and order a sandwich. Meadow goes over to a Mongolian place and orders.
We sit down at a table and wait for our food to be done. Meadow shows me that everyone likes my dress. Well, everyone except Flo because she didn't send it to him for some reason.
I text my dads that I'm eating at the food court. They send back picture of their dinner and I laugh. I show Meadow and she giggles.
A waiter comes up and puts our food down. He starts flirting with Meadow. She pats him on the hand slightly.
"Im dating someone already. Sorry," she says. The guy walks away with his head down. His defeated expression is amazing. Meadow smiles and starts eating her food.
I finish eating before she does and I go on my phone. I look through instagram until she finishes. I throw our trash away and we walk out of the mall.
We stroll to a nearby park and hang out for a while. I text Andy to pick us up in a half-hour. I hear honking from the front and we walk up to the car.
We get in and are immediately bombarded by questions from Simon about our dresses. Meadow looks over at me confused.
"He owns a clothing company," I whisper. She nods and smiles. She tells him about our dresses and what shoes we got. Simon smiles.
"Who are you guys going with?" He asks. I freeze up. I'm going to be a seventh wheel.
"I'm going with Caroline and Hope is going with a surprise person," I look over at her.
"Wait what! Who?" I yelp. She smiles but stays quiet. I glare at her silently. Andy drops her off at her house. As she walks up to her front door she smirks and waves at me.
Andy drives back to the house. Everyone sits in silence. Then I hear Simon laughing from the front. I look over at him confused. Andy smiles broadly.
"So I wonder who this mystery guy is," Simon says though his laughter. I glare at him and smile. I wonder who they're setting me up with.
