now I can't remember

We finished the song and put our microphones down, walking towards each other and give us a high-five.
"That was great! So everything is ready for tonight" Paul shouts and claps.

The soundcheck ended and I look through the arena, realizing that it's really really big in here, there will be a lot of fans. I feel the excitement in my stomach and begin to smile. I just love performing in front of people, and since all earnings will flow into comic relief, I feel like this is a very special concert, especially because it's not a long time until Christmas so the money will help to give people in need a wonderful Christmas day.

"Harry, are you coming with us?" Liam interrupts my train of thoughts.
"Hm? Where are we going again?"
Louis chuckles, "We wanna go out and get some food"
"Yeah, sure, I'm gonna tell Paul about it"

20 minutes later we enter a pizzeria and choose a table near the window. Niall immediately reaches for the menu card and studies it like crazy. I smile to myself, thinking of how it would be when his second hobby - after music of course - wouldn't be eating. Well, extremely weird for sure. I even bet he would marry his food if this were possible.

A waiter comes over, holding a block of paper and a pen in his hands.
"Hello and welcome! What do you want to order?" he asks and smiles nicely.
"I would like to get a cola and number 32" Liam says.
"I also go for a cola and number 24 please" Louis exclaims.
"I'm going for limo and chips" I answer, followed by Niall.
"And I take a water and number 23,27 and 30"
I wonder once again how it is possible to eat that much, but to make it simple; it's Niall.
The waiter nods while writing our orders down, telling us that we are lucky to get our food pretty fast since there aren't many people at the moment. Then he walks away.

We talk about this and that when the waiter indeed comes back after a short time.
"Here are your meals" he says and places the food and drinks on the table.
"Do you want to pay immediately or when you finished?"
"Oh, we're gonna do it now" Louis answers the nice waiter, pulling out his wallet, followed by us doing the same thing.

Oh shit.

Somehow I don't have enough money with me.. that can't be real. I stop moving and wait until everyone paid, prepared for a very embarrassing situation.
"Um, somehow I don't have the money with me to pay for it" I say, feeling really lost.
The waiter raises his eyebrows, showing that he didn't expect this at all. Well, relatable.
"It's okay, I'm gonna pay for him" Louis exclaims, handling the man some bills.
I feel my cheeks heat up, something I do barely. "I'm sorry"

As the waiter goes away and we start to eat our meals, i only realize by now that there are currently some Christmas songs playing.

Well, try to bring me into Christmas mood, you'll fail miserably.

I look at the brown-haired boy next to me.
"Thank you Louis"
"Of course" he smiles back.
"I'm gonna give you the money once we're back"
Louis and my eyes meet for a second, until he goes on with sipping his spaghetti.
"You don't have to, Haz, it's okay, really" he says with a high-pitched voice.
I feel my cheeks blush once again, which makes me feel completely uncomfortable. Why the heck am I feeling like this?

"Ready!" Niall shouts and wipes over his mouth with a napkin.
"For gods sake Niall, how can you eat this fast? You're incredible"
"Liam, we don't know him in any other way" Louis says and winks at him.
"You're right Louis, but Niall you'll never impress a girl when you're eating like this!"
I hit my hand on my forehead, shaking my head amused.
"Come on Liam, it's not the right time to play Daddy Direction" I tease him.
Louis and Niall burst out laughing, while I earn a glare from Leeyum.

I start singing my part while looking at all the smiling and screaming people in front of me, feeling all over excited. The song goes on and we continue to sing a whole bunch of other songs, having the time of our life. We joke a lot and go crazy with the crowd, absolutely enjoying tonight. Everyone is in a good mood and super happy, i already love this concert so so much. After finishing "Midnight Memories", we take a few minutes off, and I make my way behind the stage to the toilet.

Suddenly I hear the crowd screaming.
"LILO, LILO, LILO!"
I walk back in excitement, also wanting to know what's going on. As soon i'm back on the stage, I see Louis holding a bottle above Liams head and pouring water over him.

The legendary water fight.

I laugh and walk over to Niall, who stands in front of the drummer, seeming to have a lot of fun watching these two dorks.
"5 pounds on Louis" I say, winking at the blond Irish man.
He raises his eyebrows and laughs.
"Well, 5 pounds on Liam. Prepare for loosing your money again"
I punch my elbow teasingly into his side, then pay attention at the now running boys again.

"Liam stand still!" Louis shouts and tries to hold onto him, so he could give the poor lad another shower. As he is about to turn the bottle, Liam turns around and throws all the water right into Louis' face. He squeaks surprised and the whole arena starts laughing.
"Well well well Tommo, i'm proudly saying that i'm not sorry at all" Liam says into the microphone and runs away, announcing the next song.

Niall and I watched them the whole time, but now my eyes are stuck on Louis. He is completely full of water and his hair is hanging into his face. Without even knowing it, I bite on my lips and watch how we walks over the stage with a bright smile on his face, waving at the fans.

"For the next song, I want y'all to turn your lights on" Liam says and I see Louis preparing for his lines.

"Lights go down and
the night is calling to me, yeah,
I hear voices,
singing songs in the street
and I know.."

Niall joins in and sings his part.

"...that we won't be going home
for so long, for so long,
but I know
that I won't be on my own,
yeah, I love this feeling and.."

I hold up my microphone and start to sing my heart out.

"Right now, I wish
you were here with me"

The whole song long I catch myself every then and now in looking at Louis, more often than I usually do. Honestly, it starts to confuse me.

Something changed and I have no idea what it is.

At the end of the song the spotlight is settled at us and we pull all of us into a long hug, feeling super happy and proud.
We line up and take a bow, still having our arms wrapped around each other.
Liam's in the middle and starts to speak, while looking between us and the crowd.

"Thank you so so much for coming and spending tonight with us! You all have no idea how thankful we are to have these amazing fans! Just because of you we're able to stand here and having the best time ever! We really hope that you had a wonderful time and we can't wait to see you again! We love you!"

The fans scream again, holding lots of posters and flags up, just as they did it the whole concert long. As i'm about to read one of them, I see how Liam jumps to my left, followed by an open water bottle.
"Now, I'm proud to say i'm not sorry at all" Louis shouts and crosses his arms, smiling brightly.

a/n: this chapter has not really something with christmas in it, but i promise you there will be a lot more in the next ones! hope you had an amazing day, i definitely had! also louis just released the mv to don't let it break your heart yesterday and i love it so so much! what do you think about it? xx
