Biology class. My 3rd hour of the day. One of my hardest classes. But oh well. Lucas is in it.
Everyone sitting around him is always smiling or laughing at one of his jokes. All of the girls in the room stare at him in awe.
Mr. Chris are teacher. Creative. Loud, and a little bit annoying. Mr. Chris announces that we will be getting new seating charts. Again. He changes then up like every month. He thinks it's good for us. Or something like that to sit by other people and make more "friends".
I've never been the social person. I'm a bit socially awkward actually. I stumble on my words and can never keep eye contact. Except with my friends. But it took a while for me to get use to them.
I zone back into class. Everybody is out of their seats standing around the outside of the classroom, and staring at me. Even Lucas. Oh so he can look at me when I'm like this. But not any other time. I quickly scrabble out of my desk but trip on my backpack strap and fall. Everyone is laughing at me, except Lucas. He is looking at me with his dark brown eyes, confused. Probably because he's never noticed me before and thinks I'm a new girl. Even though we have been going to the same school sense third grade.
Mr. Chris yells at everyone to stop laughing and helps me to my feet.
I can feel my face burning red. I run out of the room before the tears start falling.
