chapter 7

Recap: She looked up at me with a big smile and nodded her head. I went to Sam's room and we talked about how we would do what we usually do, investigate, try to talk to the spirits and all that. For some reason I'm really excited for this trip with Sarah, it would be our first one together. I hope she doesn't freak out like Corey does. Guess we'll have to find out. 

Colby's P.O.V

We gathered our stuff to leave, and got into the car to go to the hotel. We entered the place and saw a woman standing at the register with a smile on her face. Sam then paid for his room and as did the rest of us. " This place is already giving me weird vibes to be honest." Sarah said. I knew what she was feeling and I don't know if Sam could feel it too, but this place was definitely giving me weird vibes. We didn't know what was going to happen. We were bored and was just winging this. We didn't even want to record anything or bring our cameras. As we were looking through the hotel and looking around to see everything around us, I noticed that there was a lot of mirrors and paintings. The mirrors were facing each other making portals. I looked over at Sam and we both gave each other a knowing look like we knew there was shit in this place. I looked over to Sarah and said "I don't know if you're really going to like this place." "Why?" She asked looking at me, confused. "Well I don't know if I even like this place. It has portals all over and that isn't good." I told her looking her in the eyes. "Well let's just stay for a couple hours, look around and see what happens. Don't judge a book by it's cover Cole." I looked at her and I could feel the heat rising to my cheeks. Nobody calls me that, it's always been Colby. I never liked people calling me by my first name. I never knew why, it just bothered me with a passion. "Well, okay then." Sam said over hearing what Sarah had just said to me. I looked over at him and just gave him a look telling him to shut up. I noticed that Sarah had been staring and looking at everything with such fascination. She noticed I was staring at her and gave me a cute smile and winked at me. This girl really was something else. "Well guys, if we don't get to our rooms and get settled in, we won't have time to investigate. So let's hurry up and go and look at this stuff later. Okay?" Sam said looking at us. It was only me, Sarah, Sam, Corey, and Jake that had wanted to go. Tara had things to do and she never really wanted to go with us to these things, nor did Kat or Devyn.It would be fun to have all the girls with us though. I wonder what it would be like if we did have everyone with us. That would be more fun. Scaring the girls all the time. Yea, that would be really fun. I should convince them to come sometime. Like they would ever say yes. We entered the dimmed elevator, pressed our level, and waited. This place wasn't very big. I mean i've seen bigger hotels but this one was decent sized. The elevator doors opened, shaking me from my thoughts. We walked out of the elevator and Sam went straight to looking for our rooms. I got a room for me and Sarah, of course. Sam, Jake, and Corey all were going to share a room together. I told them that one of them could stay with me and Sarah but they didn't really want to. It's not like we planned on doing anything. Not that I don't want to, it's just that I met her a little while back and I wouldn't want to jump to it and mess things up with her. I don't think she wants to either. She never showed any interest in wanting too so I just always thought she didn't want to. "Colby, come on. I found our room." Sarah said looking at me, motioning for me to come with her. I followed her to our room and it looked nice. It had one bed, white covers, big open windows, with light grey curtains. It had two black night stands on each side of the bed. There was also a bathroom in front of the bed. I set our bags down and watched as Sarah plopped on the bed sighing. "Oh my gosh Colby come lay on this bed." All I could do was laugh a little at her amazement of how comfortable the bed was. I walked over to her and laid down beside her. "Oh wow, this is really comfortable. Damn." I said smiling. "Right! It's like you're lying on clouds. These blankets make it so much better too." "Oh yeah. For sure." I said looking over at her. She had her eyes closed. Relaxing into the bed. "Ugh, I just want to stay here all night. Do we really have to go out and investegate?" She said looking over at me. I just laughed at her and said, "Yeah, you said you wanted to. No backing down on us now." "Oh fine." Sarah said huffing out a breathe.
