Y/N whipped a cup of coffee for her breakfast and ran out the door to the bus station. She was a bit late, sleeping in 10 minutes after the alarm had sounded. It might seem like small mistake, but for her it was an act of unpunctuality. She hated making mistakes, even ones as small as this one. She hated being late, she hated not knowing the answer to a question, she hated not being the best.
She had been a perfectionist ever since she was born and she was planning on keeping it that way.
Her black converse hit the bricked ground hard as she ran and caught up to the fluorescent green public bus. She clambered onto the bus and spotted people occupying each and every seat.
Just great!
Out of breath and panting, she held on to one of the poles and the bus started moving. Y/N was about to sip on her coffee when a voice made her ears slightly tilt back. She looked behind her to see her newly moved in neighbor sitting on a seat, with his bag on his lap and that wide smile that stretched his lips. He patted on the empty spot beside him which was once the seat of his bag.
Y/N looked at him. She was still panting from all the running and could use a seat to calm down her aching knees. So, she took the offer, although she didn't speak much. All she did was mutter a small thankyou as she sat down and lifted her bag up on her knees.
The coffee cup was still in her hands and she took a sip, only to retreat as though the brown liquid had scolded her lips. It was burning hot! How had it not cooled down yet? The burning on her lips and the boiling stream of coffee now cascading down her throat was not a good combination with her panting, exhausted state.
She whined quietly, and swiped her tongue across her hurting lips to cool down the burn with her saliva. The man next to her suddenly giggled and Y/N looked up at him.
"Too hot?" he asked.
Y/N got rid of the surprise that widened her eyes and looked straight ahead. Her blank expression that her face had adapted to seeped back into her features.
The man next to her snatched her coffee cup and flipped open the lid to plop some ice cubes he had scooped up from his water bottle. He blew softly on the coffee before flipping the lid shut and giving it to Y/N.
"That'll make it better!" he smiled. "My name is Hoseok, but just call me Hobi." He grabbed his bag and got up from the seat. After squeezing his way out from between Y/N's knees and the seat in front, he flung his bag onto his shoulder and put his hands on his knees to get into eyelevel with Y/N.
"I'm your neighbor if you didn't recognize by the way. Come meet me sometime!"
He ruffled her hair as though she was child, and got off the bus, Y/N's bewildered eyes never leaving his face

Y/N walked towards her apartment with heavy, aching ankles. The day had stressed her out drastically and all she wanted to do was go home, take a warm shower and go to bed. She reached her tiny house and threw her sneakers on the floor of her living room, ripped her clothes from her body and drowned into the tub of warm soapy water.
All the stress that had conquered Y/N's body had seeped into the foamy water of her hot bath. She allowed her herself to get swallowed up by the safe bubbly liquid and fluttered her eyes closed.
Her unconscious state starting dreaming about herself riding a majestic white unicorn with a rainbow-colored mane and a silver horn. It was taking her through a fantasy forest patterned with bright flowers and tiny butterflies were soaring slowly into the unrealistically blue sky. The trees were green and the grass was crisp, crunching beneath the tapping of the unicorn's hooves. She was going deeper and deeper, when the sunlight got blocked by the huge red dragon that captured the sky with its wings. She looked up and saw the mythical creature, and looked back ahead to see many more: ugly leprechauns sitting under trees, and shimmering mermaids diving into the crystal green waterfall.
Y/N's eyes snapped open to see the white ceiling of her bathroom. Had she really dreamed about fantasy? Dreamed about the nonsense that the people in her college dreamed of?
Get real Y/N.
She got out of the tub and wrapped her body in towel before going out and snatching a glance at the window; it was ink blue outside. How long had she slept for?! Even though she slept for quite a long time, her limbs still felt tired of sleeping on a hard tub instead of a bed. Her skin had turned soggy because of the excess of alkaline and was waiting to feel something soft unlike the rough soap. So, she changed into a blue bed shirt, and decided to skip dinner. She was about to bury herself into the safety of her blankets when the ear-shattering sound of the doorbell was heard.
She groaned
CAN'T THEY RING IT SOFTER?!
She flipped her blankets off her legs and scampered to her front door, her face crumpled with irritation. The doorbell kept ringing, resulting in repetitions of shrilling echoes.
"What do you want?" Y/N huffed before even opening the door, just to reveal a very red faced Hoseok.
He leaned against the door frame, his cheeks red and hung low, his eyes were halfway open. His gaze trailed up her body and reached her eyes, and then a stupid smile formed on his lips as he clapped his hands, as though remembering something.
"Hey neighbor! Its you!" his eyes dropped back to the floor again, and a quick smirk crossed his lips. "Sweetheart."
What?
Y/N looked down to see her pink home slippers – they were fuzzy and decorated with comical hearts, and on the front with dark pink cursive writing was written, 'sweetheart'.
So that's where he got the nickname from.
"What do you want?" Y/N asked again impatiently.
"Haha," Hoseok stumbled on his feet as he tried to enter her house, but quickly gripped the door frame to prevent his fall. His eyes went out of focus for a few seconds before landing on Y/N's. He smiled stupidly again – "I want you, sweetheart!"
Y/N moved her face closer to his, their noses an inch apart from touching. Hoseok's smile faded and he was now focusing on her intense eyes.
"Hoseok," Y/N said, "you're drunk, aren't you?"
