Bambina
"You toadfish! I totally shot you!" I yell at the TV.
After I got my legs back, I climbed out of the pool and grabbed a towel from the bathroom and dried myself off. Once I remembered that Aiden loaded my closet with some clothes, I quickly put onsome underwear, a bra, a pair of tight blue jean paints call 'skinny jeans' and a black and white striped halter top. I also found some socks in a drawer so I put them on to keep my feet warm.
Socks are a weird thing...
I found a hair brush and hair ties in the bathroom so I brushed my hair until all the knots were out and pulled my hair up into a tight ponytail. I looked nice.
Now, I'm kicking these Blowfish's butts on this shooting game.
I expected Aiden back already but I guess he's busy. At least I'm not stuck in the tub or the pool anymore.
I wasn't very good when I first started the game but after a few games, I got the hang of it quickly. Now I get victory every time. I absolutely adore this game.
"Die, Slimehead, die!"
I hear a chuckle from behind me and I turn my head quickly toward the door.
"Having fun?" Aiden asks me with a smirk.
"Yes!" I smile up at him.
He then notices me as his eyes scan me from my head to my feet.
"You look really pretty, Bambi." He compliments me.
I bite my lip and look down to try to hide the blush that forms on my cheeks. Unfortunately, its kind of hard to hide my face when my hair is pulled up.
He chuckles. "If you want to talk to the, I have a mic."
I shrug. "Maybe later."
After the match was over, Aiden's mouth drops open.
"You went positive?"
What?
"Huh?"
"You got more kills then deaths. I know you be never played this before because it just came out not long ago and well, we only met a month ago.. Unless there's another human?!" He accuses jokingly.
I laugh at his joke as I shake my head. "Nope. No other human. I swear. Although, this game isn't that hard and these people suck."
This time, he laughs. "These people do not suck. Most of them are savage."
"Savage?"
"Really good. Like, beyond really good. I'm really good but I did not expect you to be that good." He says. "Wait that's not what I meant.. I meant so fast."
"Aiden, I knew what you meant." I chuckle. "I'm hungry."
He nods and turns away from the door. I get up to follow him down the stairs and into the kitchen. I watch him take out a pot and add some water into it before he put it on the stove.
"Whatcha makin'?" I ask him.
"Spaghetti and garlic bread." He informs me.
I sit down on the chair at the table and wait for him to finish cooking.
Once he finishes, he brings me a bowl and sits a piece of garlic bread on a napkin before sitting down with a bowl and napkin in front of him.
The spaghetti was absolutely delicious. This boy sure can cook. I'd love to know how but what's the point if I'm a mermaid for the rest of my life?
After we eat, I look over at Aiden. He looks back and smiles.
"Aiden, why did you stay away from me?" I ask suddenly.
My question shocked him. I could tell by the way his eyebrows rose and he cleared his throat before sitting up straighter.
"Well, at first, it was because I bought a house then told you I bought it for you.. You refused it so I was pretty upset about that. Then I realized that I made a big deal over nothing because who buys a house for someone they've only known for three nights? Me, obviously. But, anyway, then I remembered you said you didn't know if you wanted to break the curse and I thought what's the point in hanging out with someone only at night time because she's a mermaid during the day?"
"Yeah.. There really isn't a point in being friends with me if I didn't break the curse. I'm sorry I said I did not want to. Its just, I just found out about other merpeople and I was excited. I do want to break the curse but in order to know how, I would need to find my parents. I think they might know something." I tell him.
"Bambi, the point of being friends with you is because you're an amazing girl. You make me smile, laugh, and just plain happy. The fact that you're always outgoing and you love to cuddle at night when you're asleep," He sends a wink my way and I chuckle, looking down. "I like hanging out with you, Bambi. Mermaid or human."
I get up from my seat and hug him tightly. "I like hanging out with you, too."
He stands up and grabs my hand, pulling me toward the front door. He pulls it open and we step through it. I look around before shutting the door behind us.
"Where are we going?" I ask him.
He looks back at me and grins boyishly. "We are going shopping."
"What for? I have everything I need." I assure him.
"I'm going to buy you a few things. First, a phone, because I don't want something like today to happen again and I'm not able to let you know. Second, an Xbox with a mic so that we can play together sometimes since you seem to like it. I'll buy some games I like that you might also like so that you have more choices. I'm also getting you Xbox live but I can do that through the Xbox. And then I'm going to buy newspaper and amber alert papers dated from seven years ago to now to see if we can find your parents."
I gasp excitedly. "You're going to help me find my parents?"
"Yes. We're going to find your parents and break this curse."
I'm not internally freaking out inside, you are!
