Nines followed the Detective inside his apartment.
- Make yourself at home while I'm putting my guns away.
- Of course, Detective.
As always when they closed a hard case, the Detective invited it over, mainly to watch films.
Nines put its jacket on the coat rack (since the Detective asked it to look "less like he was at work"), looked inside its database to find a film that would be fitting, started the TV remotely, and started to prepare some popcorn and coffee for the Detective and thirium tea for itself.
It was about to bring everything to the living room when the Detective got out of his room, bare feet, wearing a white fleece jacket with a cat ears hood.
- Don't you ph*cking dare say a word about what I'm wearing, okay ? I'm cold.
- I wasn't about to say anything, Detective.
- Sure... Like I'll believe you. But anyway, what movie did you...
He looked at the screen.
- Frozen ? Really ? Why an old and girlish movie like that ?
- I thought it would suit the weather since it's about to snow in ten minutes.
The Detective looked a bit confused then sat on the couch and put his feet on the table in front of him.
- Well, what are you looking at ? Get a move on, tincan !
- Sure Detective.
Nines put what it was carrying on the small table, sat down near the Detective and started the movie, drinking its tea while the Detective drank his coffee and enjoyed the popcorn. The Detective's cat joined them soon, falling asleep on the Detective's lap.
The movie was almost at its end when Nines felt something leaning against its right arm. The Detective had fallen asleep, his cup of coffee inside his hands, his hood falling on his face.
Nines felt its lips curve upward at such sight. It put the cup of coffee on the table and closed its eyes, slowly going into stasis.
