Nines was outside the DPD, his right hand palm towards the sky, his white chassis being visible.

A familiar voice called him :

- Nines ?

- ...

- NINES ! What the phck are you doing outside the DPD ? When it's this cold ? I've been looking for you for three hours !

The Detective was near him, wearing his padded leather jacket, looking at him angrily.

- Please, excuse me Detective, I was looking at the snowflakes falling and it seems I lost track of time. And for your information, androids can't feel cold, but we can gauge the temperature thanks to the thermoreceptors located mainly inside our hands.

- You were... watching the snow fall ?

The Detective had a doubtful look.

- Yes Detective. I was scanning every snowflakes as they fell and admiring how they formed a pile on the ground. And I wanted to feel the snow on my hand.

- And ? How is it ?

- It is cold.

- Well, of course, dumbass. It's freezing water after all. Anyway, I hope you won't spend another three hours doing that. Fowler is really angry that you're not working.

- I'm going back to work, Detective. Just give me one more minute, please.

- Sure.

The Detective left with a sigh, seemingly not understanding how his android was working.

After exactly one minute, Nines reactivated his skin, hiding his chassis. He went to the DPD's door, puzzled that, for the first time since Connor and Markus activated him and made him deviate inside Cyberlife's lab, he didn't had one thought for his job.
