Gray sat in the guild hall thinking to himself, he watched his boyfriend talk to Erza and Lucy. To be honest Gray wanted to go home with Y/n and spend the day together, he really wanted to cuddle, but he figured with his cold body, who'd want to do that?
"The answer is always no if you don't ask." A voice spoke shaking him out of his thoughts. "Mira?" He asked looking up to find the white haired mage smiling at him. "That's right." She added. "How'd you know what I was thinking?" He asked curiously as Mira shot him a look. "You looked in distress." She shrugged setting a drink on the table. "Well, thanks MiraJane." He sighed as he took a gulp of the drink before walking over to his lover.
"Hey Y/n, I was uh, wondering if uhm." He stopped thinking of the words. "Do you wanna go home and uh, do some stuff?" Gray asked before they both blushed. "No! Wait! That didn't sound right!" Gray nervously panicked as Erza laughed. He looked at Y/n who looked like he was ready to blow, "Why would you say that when I'm next to my friends?" He whined sulking. "I should go before I make this worse." Gray stated walking away. "Awe he's so cute." Lucy smiled. "Whatcha mean?" Y/n asked looking over. "He's obviously trying to get your attention." She added as Erza stepped in.
"Gray isn't like that, I think he means well, he just doesn't know how to word it, huh Lucy." Erza said, as the last words dripped with venom. "Y-Yes Mrs. Erza." Lucy saluted before running off. "You guys are acting awfully weird." Y/n nervously laughed before taking a drink.
Attempt 11: "Hey Y/n we should go chill." Gray suggested with a smile. "Gray, that joke is a bit outdated." Y/n laughed, "Good one though." He smiled before turning back to the bar.
Attempt 14: "How about we lay on the bed, I bring you close and we-"
"Please don't finish that sentence, we are in public." Y/n laughed and scolded at the same time.
"How do I do it?" Gray asked, he was in a circle of Erza, Lucy, and Mira. "Simple, just ask." Erza demanded. "Or, you can write him a card." Lucy suggested. "OR! WE CAN BE THE CARDS!" Mira yelled in excitement. "We will make cards and tell you what to say!" She screeched clapping and bouncing up and down. "That's actually not a bad idea." Erza stated with a nod. "Let's do it then." Lucy smiled as she summoned her spirit. "Cancer will help us craft the cards, just go find Y/n." Lucy winked as she wrote some words down.
I found Y/n near the bar. "I got this." I whispered. "Hey Y/n." I started as I looked for the cards, I then saw Natsu, Erza, Lucy, Cancer, and Mira holding up cards. "Will?" Gray asked looking at the first card, the group of 5 looked distressed, Erza was silently yelling at them, they had it in the wrong order. "Will?" Y/n repeated tilting his head sideways. "Will, will be the name of our firstborn, no wait." Gray facepalmed. "Gray is something wrong, you've been acting weird lately." Y/n questioned resting his arms on Gray's shoulder. Gray sighed, "Look Y/n, I didn't know how to say this, but can we just go home and cuddle?" Gray asked annoyed at the others who failed to help him. Y/n blinked twice before laughing, Gray seemed nervous. "This is what you were struggling to ask me? Next time just ask, of course we can, but, I want a piggy back ride there." Y/n smiled as Gray obliged. He soon took off to their house.
"Incompetent fools." Erza scolded while the other had bumps on their head.
Gray and Y/n laid comfortably on the couch as they watched TV. "If you ever want some thing, just ask okay?" Y/n asked before placing a kiss on Gray's chest. "Of course, sorry for any embarrassment today." Gray laughed as they faced each other. "Just some teasing from Natsu and Lucy, nothing my strong hunk can't fix." Y/n assured running his finger over Gray's exposed top.
"We should cuddle more." Gray advised.
"I second that." Y/n agreed as they shared a kiss.
