percy awoke to the sound of her alarm blaring, she opened her eyes and looked around her room, it was still dark outside, she groaned. She had been working at the same place for the last few months, getting up at the same time everyday, and yet it never seemed to get any easier.
She got out of her bed, yawning as she did, and made her way to her bathroom that was right off her room. She started the shower and began brushing her teeth, checking her phone for any notifications she may have missed while she was asleep. She cursed under her breath when she saw two missed calls from her boss, both an hour ago. She puts down her toothbrush, and goes back into her room and calls her back. It goes to voicemail, and she can't help but think she was doing it on purpose because she had missed her calls first, but she shakes her head at this thought, and shrugs it off, going back into the bathroom, taking her shower. Of course, her boss calls her back while she's mid-shampoo. Of course, because Percy wouldn't expect any less with her awful luck. She got out, hair still full of shampoo, and wrapped a towel around her, answering her phone.
"Hello miss Sahnezari!!!" She said, trying to speak as cheerfully as she could at five in the morning with shampoo in her hair
"Hey, Percy? It's Itō, boss needs you here in the office in no more than an hour, we are having a meeting about the future of the company with some very powerful figures. Also, could you bring her a latte on your way here? You know the order right?", Itō was another assistant to another big name within their company, percy had become somewhat friends with her, despite never getting her first name. They helped each other out from time to time, like times like this, when she has to get there speedy quick, and miss Sahnezari doesn't have enough time to ring her herself. Percy wanted to sigh, she wanted to say that's not possible and get back to washing the suds out of her hair. But she couldn't. She liked her job and didn't want to risk losing it. She was making good money, and though the morning hours were brutal, and she hated the long ass meetings, her boss was kind of....pretty, and she couldn't say no to a pretty girl. She cursed herself for being a dumb lesbian but thanked god she had already lied out some clothes the night before.
"Of course!!! I'll be right there!!!" She replied
"Great! Also, wear that black skirt, with the buttons, Miss Sahnezari's request, I think she thinks you look good in it." Persephone could hear the smirk in her coworkers voice and she knew Itō could feel her glare.
"Bye Itō!!!" She said, and with that, she hung up. Percy felt her face heat up at her last comment, but shook it out of her head and ran back to the shower, washing the soap out of her hair, and getting it in her eyes
"FUCK!" she said, reaching for a towel to get the soap out. She knew this was going to be a....day.
When reaching the office, latte in hand, she was met with her boss right out front, waiting for her. She smiled brightly at her, trying not to look nervous as she saw her eyeing her skirt, handing her the drink she requested and taking the papers from her hands.
"Hello miss Sahnezari!!! Here's your latte!! And I brought you a muffin too, in case you were hungry..." percy trailed on, she had a bad habit of that, nervous babbling every time she was in front of her boss. She just smiled at her, and took the muffin from her
"Thank you persephone, you didn't have to" she told her, shaking her head at the smaller girl
"That's okay!!! I just didn't want you to go into the meeting hungry!!" She told her, walking with her to her office
"Thank you again. Did you eat this morning?" This was another reason she didn't want to quit her job. Her boss... cared about her. She had worked for a few other people, and she barely lasted three months at any of them because she hated working for them, they were rude and snobby, but her boss now....she cared. And maybe it was just because she had a little...tiny crush on her that made her think that way, after all, she was just being a nice person. Regardless, she appreciated it.
