Celia POV
We split up to interview the moms. JJ takes Ms. Buckner, Emily takes Ms. Wheeler, and Spencer and I take Ms. Wood. We get to the SUVs and I get into the drivers side while Spencer gets into the passenger side. JJ and Emily both take desperate SUVs.
The first few minutes we ride in silence, until I finally speak up. "Is there a reason why you won't talk to me Spencer?" I ask him.
At first he is quiet, but then says, "Sorry, just so many things have been happening to me lately."
"Would you like to talk about it? You do not have to if you do not want to, I am not going to push you to say anything. And if you don't want to I totally understand since you have only known me for a day." I say gently to him.
"I'm not ready to talk about it yet." He says.
"That's okay, if you ever need someone to talk to, just let me know." I say, thoughtfully.
He finally looks over to me. "Thank you." He says, then looks back out the window. It is still about twenty more minutes til we get to Ms. Wood's house. I decide to stay quiet for now.
Spencer POV
"That's okay, if you ever need someone to talk to, just let me know." Celia says, thoughtfully.
I look over to her and really get a good look at her for the first time. She had wavy blonde hair and beautiful brown eyes. There are some freckles on her nose and a few on her cheeks. She's beautiful.
No, I can't think like that. I'll just end up getting hurt again. "Thank you." I say quickly then look back out the window.
All of the sudden Maeve comes to mind, but I quickly push it to the back of my mind. I should not be thinking of her, it will just make me more sad than I already am. I need to focus on the case at hand.
