EarthLace slowly opened her eyes and found herself in a dark space. It didn't feel like a room and any space she'd been used to, it was almost as if she was in her mind, a dream! She looked around, everything was pitch black and completely silent...until a horrible screeching noise reached her ears. As the screeching stopped, a familiar voice filled the dark space.
"EarthLace...Lacy...please!" She turned around to see what seemed to be a visual flashback. A girl in blue was on the ground with her hands tied behind her back and a girl in green and brown above her...holding an axe. EarthLace's eyes were fixed on the flashback screen, there was no way that was her and OceanBreeze. It just wasn't possible!
"Wake up, Lacy! Please! Wake up!...Don't do this...please!" She could hear the pleads and emotional cries from her sister and saw tears nstreaming down her face. As she studied herself, she saw her eyes were dialated to the center. That must've been why she didn't remember anything! As her past self lifted the axe above her head, her past sister's eyes grew wider. "Lacy...EarthLace! Please don't!..."
EarthLace struggled to turn away but her eyes were forced on the flashback. She watched her past self bring the axe down through her sister's body. She could almost actually see the exact moment OceanBreeze's soul left her body. "La...cy..." And with that, the flashback ended. EarthLace fell to her knees and cried roughly into her hands. It was bad enough thinking she was the cause of OceanBreeze's death, but being the actual murderer was far more than she could bare.
"Breezie...I'm...I'm so sorry!...why...WHY?! Why did it have to be like this?!" She knew Breezie would never forgive her, she must be so mad. Suddenly, a familiar seashell flew into her hands. 'No hard feelings, right?' She knew this was her sister's way of getting back at her. She put the shell down and pushed it into the dark space, when another one flew down. She refused to take it until many more shells began to swirl around her. Each one saying the same thing. 'No hard feelings, right?'
Thousands of indescribable feelings filled her soul; guilt, sorrow, anger, regret. She knew her sister wasn't happy with her and she wasn't happy with herself either. "Please, stop!" The shells slowly came to a stop and finally fell to the ground resulting in them shattering. EarthLace couldn't control her breathing, her breathing increased faster by the second, until her vision blacked out.
