The Break up

Emily PoV
I woke up to the sound of my phone ringing and it was only 8:30 am. uhh who could that be I checked the caller ID and it was Paige so I answered "Hello" "oh hey em you haven't returned any of my calls and texts I'm guessing your angry at me and I just wanted to say I'm sorry "
"You know what Paige why don't we meet up at the grill for coffee so we can talk"
"Ok see you there "
As i ended the call Ali was a wake and was staring at me. "who was that?"
"Uhh it was Paige I'm gonna go meet with her at the grill is that ok with you"
"Uh sure she is your girlfriend after all"
"Well I'm gonna go talk with her see you later" with that I walked out of Ali's house awkwardly because I just realised Paige is my girlfriend and technically I just cheated on her with my best friend. but I kind of got held up in the moment with Ali and git carried away. I drove home with all these thoughts racing through my brain i jumped in to the shower got changed straighten my hair applied some makeup and left to meet up with Paige.
As I reached the grill Paige was there waiting for me. "hey " "hi sweetie" Paige said to me. "so what do you want to talks about then?" I took a deep breath and began to speak. "basically I think we should take a break"
"What! why baby as a single tear rolled down her face. "it because the feelings for you I have were always reserved for someone else that always had my heart from the very beginning"
"It's that bitch Alison isn't it"
"Emm no it's that you were always my second choice Paige I'm so sorry for dragging you along in it"
"But I love you em"
"That's the problem I'm in love with someone else and I only have loved you like a friend"
"I'm sorry we're over"
I huge weight had risen from me as I said those words and like that I walked out the grill. As I got into the car I realised that I just need to have a break from dating and just need time for myself.
