"PJ! Long time no see, ey?" I just rolled my eyes and went back to doing my calculus homework. That's my brother's best friend, Calum Hood. Don't let his good looks fool you, he's an idiot.

"I saw you at school, like, twenty minuets ago, idiot." I told him, pushing my hair behind my ear.

"Twenty minuets is, like, eight years in dog time." He said as if he knew what he was talking about, which he didn't.

"That's one hundred percent not true." I said, pushing numbers into my calculator. I wrote down the answer to the problem. I heard the front door open and close and my mom walked in with grocery bags.

"Oh, hi Calum, Jay didn't say he was gonna have you over." She said, pushing her glasses up her nose a little. I walked over and helped her with the bags in her hands. "Thanks Penny." She said, shortly.

"Calum! I finally figured it out." Jay said, walked down the stairs. He just got a new Play Station since his last one broke when he did something stupid when we were playing Minecraft a couple weeks ago. I don't think anyone is more stupid then my brother, Jayden Hart. I just went back to my homework and then my phone started ringing. It was one of my friends, Ellen.

"Hey! Um, so, I was wondering..." She trailed off.

"What? What were you wondering?" I said, when she obviously got distracted.

"Well... You know Leo Allen?" She asked.

"Loud Leo? Yes, I know who he is. Why?" I asked, this girl can take four years just to finish a thought.

"He asked for your number and I gave it to him and he said he's gonna call you around five and I said you'd be free so you better be free." She told me in one short breath.

"Wow, thanks for making my plans for me, I really needed help with that. I don't even like Leo, dumbass."

"Language." My mom told me from the living room.

"Anyway, so just expect the call." She finished and before I could respond she hung up. I just packed up my books and supplies into my book bag and walked up the stairs to my bedroom. It was now four so I had an hour to stall before I have to talk to Loud Leo. My friend Gracie and I made it up and ever since out entire friend group picked it up. I decided to go bother my brother and Calum for the time being.

I walk into Jay's room and sat down on his bed.

"What's up baby bro?" I asked, knowing the nickname pissed him off.

"You were born two minuets before me, Pen." I just shrugged. They were play Super Smash Bros.

"You guys didn't invite me to play with you?" I asked in my most offended voice.

"No offence Pen, but, you suck at Smash." Jayden told me, keeping his eyes on his t.v. I just laid back on his bed and looked through my Instagram. Nothing was going on.

I didn't even know it was five until an unknown number was calling me. I was still on Jayden's bed and so I got up and walked into my room. I answered the call, as much as I despised it.

"Hello? Is this Penelope Hart?" I heard Leo's almost high-pitched voice talk into the other end.

  "This is her."

"I'm guessing Ellen told you she gave me your number?" He asked me.

"Yeah..." I said, awkwardly. Talking to boys wasn't really my strong suit, but I don't get flustered, I just get sweaty and awkward.

"Yeah, um, anyway, I was wondering if you were busy on Saturday because I'm not and I was wondering if you wanted to go see Frozen 2." He asked me.

"Oh, well, I've already seen it, but maybe we could go to the park instead. It's much easier to talk and get to each other, assuming you are asking me on a date." I told him. Truth is; I've seen Frozen 2 twice. I went with my brother and with Gracie and Ellen.

"Yeah, that sounds great. Is two okay?" He asked, relieved.

"In the morning? Are you insane?" I asked, joking. I heard him let out a laugh.

"In the afternoon, silly." He sighed out after his laughing fit ended. I smiled a bit at the nickname. After we ended our conversation we said our goodbyes and hung up. I saved his number into my phone as 'Leo😊😋'.

"So, who was that?" I heard the familiar annoying voice of Calum. I saw Jayden and him standing in my door frame.

"It was Leo, from school." I told them. "Not that it's any of your business, creeps." I said, sticking my tongue out.

"So, you guys are going out at two a.m. on a Saturday?" Jayden asked, confused.

"This is why we don't snoop on other people's phone conversations, you only hear one side of the conversation." I told them, putting my hands on my hips.

"Well dad told me to come get you because we're going to go eat out at IHop." He changed the subject, he knew I won the small dispute. I know it's odd that Calum comes with us to family dinners but it's normal. Our parents and his parents are very close. I see Mali as an older sister. We all got into the Suburban and I sat in the back while Jayden and Calum sat in the two middle seats. I just texted Leo the entire way there. We planned on getting ice cream and then walking around the park.

When we got to the restaurant the two boys started making stupid jokes about IHob and I don't think I've ever rolled my eyes this many times. The dinner was good, but boring. And that's all I have to say.
