i woke up somehow with joshs arms around me and mine on his. what happened?

'well uh good morning.' i said, waking him up.
'oh good morning.' he said, groggily as he slipped his arms off of me. 'what happened?'
'dude i don't even know' i said, truthfully. 'we didn't drink so we should remember..'
'let's not worry.' he said. 'we should just get dressed. wanna go to the park today? i could use some fresh air.'
'okay, sounds like a plan.' i was excited.
'you mean date?' he slyly said.
'i mean plan.' i teased.
'cmon tess.' he said 'one of these days it's gonna be date.'
'are you sure?' i giggled.

i put on a pair of bell bottomed jeans, a tie shirt, and some heels. my short hair had barrettes in them. josh wore bell bottoms, too. his shirt was a casual button up. we looked like people picked right out of the seventies.

'what's for breakfast?' josh asked when he walked downstairs.
'a kale, strawberry, banana, and peach smoothie bowl with granola. and a cup of aloe water. smoothie bowls homemade.' i said, blending the ingredients.
'sounds exotic.' he said 'i should go get a guitar today. oh! i could get you a tambourine, too. be my tambourine gal.'
'and where do you have money for that?' i asked.
'tessa.' he states 'are you forgetting im in a band, im on magazine covers, and i've done world tours? i think i got the money.' he laughed.
'then if you have all this money, why didn't you go to a fancy rehab place?' i asked.
'because' he said 'because they wouldn't care like you do. they don't know me, they haven't grown up with me, they aren't you.'
'you're sweet, josh.' i said, sympathizing.
'i know.' he cockily said. 'so marry me.'
'no' i said, nicely.

we sat on the porch and ate our breakfast, josh spit out the aloe water claiming it tasted like 'dog shit times 10'. i took our bowls in the house and put them in the dishwasher.

'where are your keys?' josh asked me.
'why do you need the keys?' i replied.
'because we need to use the car to get to the park, duh.' he giggled.
'no no no.' i said, smiling 'we're walking. it's only ten minutes away. you need exercise if you want to be completely healthy.'
'fine' he said 'the things i do to keep you happy.' he teased.
'more like the things i do to keep you from dying.' i said.
'very funny.' he said. 'im assuming im gonna have to take about 80 pictures of you in that outfit when we get to the park?'
'ahhh' i said 'you know me so well.'
'i do, don't i?' he said, smiling.

when we arrived at the park, josh immediately realized that there were two empty swings conveniently located right next to each other. he turned to me and smiled.

'want to see who can go higher?' he asked.
'josh, we're 23.' i said
'you're right.' he confessed.
'then we'll just see who gets there faster!!' i exclaimed, running towards the swing set.
'you bitch!!' he laughed and charged after me.

when we sat on the swings, josh pushed off the ground and pumped his legs, i caught up to him soon enough and we looked like 6 year olds having the time of their lives, and to be honest, i loved every second of it. i pulled out my phone, josh knew what i was going to ask of him.

'lemme guess.' he said, sarcastically. 'it's photo time.'
'ding! ding! ding!' i replied 'good answer.'

he took a picture from every angle he could, giving off major photographer vibes.

'beautiful darling!' he said, mocking an artist. 'give it to the camera!' he made me laugh.
'hello' some lady said to us. 'i couldn't help but realize you two are such a cute couple!'
'oh' we both said, glancing at each other 'we're not together, we're just good friends.'
'what a pity' the woman said, walking away.
'well excuse you, bitch.' i muttered, but josh could still hear me and we both laughed.
'wanna wall along the nature trail?' i asked.
'sure' he replied.

i could tell josh was getting physically exhausted, so we sat down on a bench within the trail. he was sweating and tapping on the bench, i was starting to become worried.

'are you okay?' i asked with concern in my voice.
'no' he said, truthfully. 'call an ambulance. now!' he managed to get those last words out before passing out and hitting his head on the bench.
