"A promise"
You suggest
I suck in a deep breath
Maybe this promise will change the lives of my children
Maybe this promise will be a shrill ringing then
A reminder of the compromise that a promise takes
"A promise, to love each other as we love our family
And ourselves"
Thinking for a moment, i stand still
Then i reluctantly lift my hand
And i curl my pinky around yours.
