Breakfast.

I sat awkwardly across Kuya Gwapo and Buglat. They are both looking at me which made me conscious of myself. I combed my hair and I think that's enough. I'm naturally beautiful anyways! I'm wearing a pink Hello Kitty sando paired with a pink Hello Kitty shorts. Di ako makapaniwala na nagpalit pa ako ng damit para sa magkapatid na ito. Or more likely sa kuya lang ni Buglat.

"Ehem, hindi ka man lang ba magsosorry sa akin?" Biglang nagsalita si Buglat. At ano raw? Ako? Magsosorry?

"Why would I?" I crossed my arms.

"As you can still remember what happened earl-"Before she even finish her sentence I cut her off, "Did something happened earlier?" Maang-maangan kong tanong.

Napansin kong hinawakan ni Kuya Gwapo sa balikat si Buglat as if kinocomfort niya ang kapatifd niya at saka may ibinulong pa rito.

"Kids! Have some snacks first, nagpeprepare pa kasi ng dinner eh." Mom suddenly arrived kasama si Yaya Felice na may dalang tray na may sandwich at orange juice. Inilapag niya ito sa center table.

"I see you're getting along well agad?" Umupo si Mommy sa isang single sofa. Getting along well? Really, mom? Is that how you see us? Oh my gosh that is not gonna happen ever!

"Mom, hello? I don't even like these two. Paalisin mo na lang sila!"

My Mom just laughed, "Don't mind her attitude! Hindi lang kasi siya sanay na may ibang bata rito because she is our only child."

She turned her head to me, "Be nice to them, my dear. Starting today si Mena na makakalaro mo. She's just your age and I'm sure magkakasundo kayo. And since their parents are out of the country at sa isang araw pa ang balik, madalas silang bibisita rito."

Napanganga ako sa sinabi ng nanay ko. "Why would I do that?"

"Penny, you need to try to make friends with others!" Really? Make friends? I think that is not in my vocabulary. And if ever, puwede bang si Kuya Gwapo lang?

"Oo nga, Penny. Dapat maging magfriends na tayo! Hayaan na natin ang nangyari kani-"

I faked smile, "Suwe. Let's be fwiends." I wanted to puke right in front of them nang lumabas ang mga salitang iyon sa bibig ko.

"That's good!" My mom exclaimed. "I'll leave you  now so you can have time to talk to each other  okay?"

"But Mom-" Before I can even finish my statement, my mom left me with the two strangers.

I crossed my arms in my chest. "Tss."

"Is it true ba na friends na tayo?" Tumingin ako kay buglat na biglang nagsalita.

Halos matawa na ako sa sinabi niya. "Weally? You believed that?"

"Mena, if she doesn't want to be friends with you, then wag. You were not born to please anyone." Narinig kong sabi ni Kuya Gwapo kay Buglat. Tsk!

I rolled my eyes pero bigla itong tumingin sa akin na ikinagulat ko, "And you, nene, you owe an apology to my sister."

Wait, what? Did he just call me 'nene'? Seriously? Nene? Ang ganda ganda ng pangalan ko. Kasing ganda ko tapos tatawagin niya lang ako ng nene?

"Huh! I am not nene! I'm Penelope Yasmin and I will nevew apologize to hew! It wasn't even my fault na halos magkalapit ng kulay yung damit yung doll namin! Tapos magkamukha pa. Hmp! Gaya gaya."

I don't care if masama na ang image ko kay Kuya Gwapo, basta hindi ako magsosorry sa kaniya kahit kailan. Atsaka kung hindi lang gwapo 'tong kuya ni buglat maiinis rin ako dito eh! Tawagin ba naman akong nene? Excuse me?
