What is this Virus?

After they arrived of course all of them went out and started looking around a bit. "We should split up. Me and Alpha will go on the right. You boys, left. And no fights." Said the girl and waved at the boys started walking in her direction. Alpha of course followed her partner. Nikodem and Luka stared at each other then sighed silently. "Alright. Lets stay cautious." Said the Emerald's protector. The other boy just nodded. Then they started walking and looking around. Niko tried to find something in the ruins of some buildings. Probably were home of some people. "Poor innocent creatures." He thought while looking down. Meanwhile, the other fluffy haired boy while looking around he found a stone figure? Of some sort of a person. Probably the major of the village maybe? It had some of the "black goo" on it so he came closer to it to give it a closer look. Not long after Luka started hearing weird noises. It felt like they were in his head. He looked around, quite surprised. He was sure someone would attack him from the back. But this time.. He was wrong. For the first time. One of the "Infected" people by the black goo jumped On him from the front, sadly touching him which meant the infection most likely already got him not long after he kicked the "Vessel" (that's how the infected people are called.) Away from him. Hard enough to make it unconscious. Or.. Dead? He didn't really knew it just stopped moving. Then he looked at his hand. It had the black goo on it. He looked surprised and quite worried. "B..but.. Its impossible.." He said to himself quietly. The others heard the fight so they came to Luka that fast as possible. Nicky gasped when she noticed the goo on Luka's hand. "So.. That means he will turn now?" Nikodem asked, he sounded quite worried about his rival. "N..no.. I.." Said the girl quite worried. She didn't knew what to do to help her partner which gave her anxiety. She didn't wasn't to disappoint them. Thankfully fast enough she shook her head and said "Luka. Make your Black hands appear." "What? Why?" The boy answered. "Just do it!" The girl yelled at her partner,looking a bit angry, still worried although. She hoped that it will help the infection stop spreading and will make it disappear completly. After all Luka was a Hybrid. The boy didn't even argued. He closed his eyes and his hands slowly turned to black, quite bigger ones with sharp claws. Which caused the goo to go off him. He moved his hand a bit. "It worked." He looked at Nicky. She just smiled relieved in return. Meanwhile when everyone was looking at Luka they haven't noticed that the Vessel from earlier called other ones.. "I think we are not alone anymore." Said Alpha, turning on his bazzoka. The rest looked around they were surrounded by the vessels there was hundred of them. There was no was to go through them. Since they cant touch them. Even tho. They didn't gave up. They got ready to fight. But suddenly a fire out of nowhere destroyed some of the vessels the team looked surprised at the fire. Out of it came out a Girl with brown her in a bun. She had flames on her hands.. Somehow? She looked like a cat mobian? But not a normal one. After all mobians cannot rule powers such as fire or water. "Quick. This way!" Said the girl then she run back to the flames that she made earlier. They turned blue right after she went in. "We don't have a choice. We have to trust her." Said Nicky. The boys nodded. The four of them entered the flames.
