We all experienced the loss of something or someone, losing the people we love or losing the things we hold dearly. Either way, it all brings the same thing into our life; pain.

Experiencing loss is the natural way of life, you neither can run away from it, nor can you stop its march. But there is something you should remember:

it is okay to lose the things we hold dearly, may it be a someone or something. It is okay to cry and feel the pain embracing your heart and it’s feelings. But do remember that losing something will teach you respect; respect of the time you have with someone, respect of the memories given to you, and respect of the decision they make. When you lose something, you will always receive something in return; fear not.

The pain we feel will teach us how to let go, slowly. The art of letting go takes time and process to do, may it be days, months, or years. It is okay to be scared of losing someone or something, that feeling makes us remember what it means to be human. Good things come to  an end, but so does the bad; remember that. The pain you feel right now is what shapes you into a more mature version of yourself. Be thankful for it.

Letting go is hard, I know, I’ve been there before and I know how hard it is to let go of  someone you hold dearly. But please remember that when you let go of someone, it opens up a path to the future with endless possibility. The world still has so much to offer and it is waiting for you to pick yourself up and walk towards the future with a smile on your face. One of the greatest form of love that you can give to someone, is to let them go when it is time to let go.

To you, whoever is reading this, you’re not alone. We’ll get through this slowly and I promise you it will get better soon; it will.

It is time to let go of  what was.
It is time embrace of  what will.
