Today was at least the millionth time I watched my daughter dive bomb off a cliff from the coast side. It was at least 4000ft going straight down with nothing but air then a rocky surface underneath.

"Mom! Watch this! Watch this!" Phoenix exclaimed excitedly as she stood by her father, Fang, he was standing there silent as ever not moving a muscle in his body. I smiled at her showing her she had my full attention. She turned and ran full speed toward the edge of the cliff. My heart jumped out of my chest and I was close to screaming as she dove off the edge like a swimmer diving into the pool.

I was close to running and flying after her, but Nudge grabbed my arm and caught me before I could. She gave me a look which was to tell me everything was okay. I glanced over and saw Phoenix flying in the sky her black wings hitting the sun making them look a dark navy blue, just like her father wings had done.

I looked over at fang who was watching her as she was soaring through the sky. He wasn't letting any emotion show, which is normal for him to do, before we had Phoenix. After we had her, he was so much livelier than ever. He would run around with her, laugh with her but something wasn't right. He was just shut down not caring about the world at all.

I pulled my arm away from nudge and walked towards him, he seemed different than himself. I looked over at Phoenix soaring through the sky, but she wasn't there, she was standing in front of me with a murderous smirk on her face, the kind erasers have when they are about to rip someone into shreds. I knelt down to her level and tucked a piece of hair behind her ear so I could see her face more clearly.

Her eyes were red, not the chocolate brown color they once were. He teeth yellow as sunflowers growing into fangs like daggers. My daughter was turning into an eraser

right in front of my eyes. I panicked and looked over at the flock for backup but...They all were turning into erasers with the dagger like fangs, the red eyes that were thirsty for blood, my blood. I turned to run but was quickly knocked on my feet, hitting my head hard. I jolted up to see a worried looking fang sitting beside me. I put my hands to my face and sighed in relief.

"Max you have to stop having these nightmares"

"Angel, why are you up, you should be sleeping!" I thought.

She could hear me and I knew it. She didn't reply so I knew she was going to sleep now, I looked over at the clock and it read 3:13. Great just great, I can't go back to sleep now. Well guess I'm just gonna stay up and fly around. It always helps me clear my head after a few hours. I was about to get up when I noticed fangs eyes locked in me.

"Max?" He said his voice was quiet so he didn't wake the others. Mostly worrying about waking nix. I nodded and got out of bed. I walked around the old house (we claimed it after the world ended and all the mutants and are flock had to start a whole new life) The floor creaked beneath my feet, the pale Robin egg blue paint chipping off the walls. My favorite part of this house was the flower painting scattered across the house. I walked to the bathroom and looked at myself in the mirror.

I looked young, yes I get it I'm like what 16 or 17 now but I always looked like I was something along the lines of 20. Stepping in, to be a mother figure and a leader to these kids really put a punch on your mental age and how You see yourself. My eyes no longer had dark circles under them that made my eyes look somewhat bigge brighter.

As I was washing my face trying to clear my thoughts of the bad dream, I heard the faintest sound someone walking towards there. I kept washing my face and I turned off the faucet and turned to face Fang standing in front of me, looking emotionless as always. I knew him better than that, if you really focused on his eye you could see a whole new person, well not new person just emotion I should say.
