After Jungki left, my mind became all blank and numb. I don't even know what to do after blatantly offered Jungki such a deal. My wedding is less than a month and I have the audacity to offer him that nonsense deal.
On the bright side, Jin is fully healed from those big wounds on his back earlier. The only thing remain is his blood staining the floor beneath us and Yoongi's curse.
I turn my head to Yoongi who seems to have a deep frown on his pale face. I kept on hearing his low curse under his breath too. As if he's mad at himself.
"Are you okay, Yoong?" I ask, my voice eerily soft but enough for him to hear considering the house is now in deep silence as if our voice would awaken a dragon or something.
"Yeah." Was all that escape from Yoongi's lips, there's even a slight upset tone in his voice when he said that. He didn't even look at me when he answers me.
I sigh sadly and look down at Jin who already caught my eyes. My eyes slightly widen at him in surprise and I impulsively shove him aside from my laps.
"Y-You're okay now right, Jin?" I study his wounds he got before and there are none anymore on his back. Heaving a relief sigh, Jin stares at me in an inscrutable way, an eyebrow narrowing at me and arms crossed over his front.
"What?" I ask confoundedly.
"You do know Jungkook will be mad and distraught over this news right?" Jin stated matter-of-factly.
Nibbling my bottom lip, I suddenly feel timid of the fact that Jungkook will indeed be frantic over this. "Y-Yeah. About that, Jin. Uhm- Can you keep th-"
"No." He deadpan right before I could even finish off my words, knowing fully what I was about to request.
"I can do other things for you, Hyejin. But going against Jungkook is not one of it. That includes having to keep what I heard and saw earlier as a secret from Jungkook's knowledge. He needs to be informed about this." Jin firmly clarifies, his brows knitted in all seriousness giving this committed vibe around him.
When a person shows how determined he is, all we can do is just sigh defeatedly. And so I did. Wake up, Hyejin. They aren't being called loyal retainers for nothing.
Just then, sounds of wings flapping circled our safe house until it is replace with footsteps against the floor, nearing the front door that is closed before us.
My heart beat loudly inside, making me halt on my breathe for a second and the sight of Jungki's evil smirks take over my sights as if it was on replay involantarily. My breathe becomes short, pupils dilated in horror, lips slightly parted, body trembles, and droplets of cold sweats decorating my temples when I heard echoes of my own cries over wounded Jin in the back of my mind.
Suddenly, the door rattles. Our eyes trail to the door handle that was being pushed down harshly until it creaks open, revealing Jungkook and the other loyal retainers' face in sight.
Seeing faces I'm familiar with, I heave a relief sigh immediately and started catching on my breathe properly this time.
There are some small wounds on their bodies but not as bad as Jin got before which is a good sign. I saw Jin runs to Namjoon and checked his bodies in the middle of the room anxiously. Jin being himself as he keeps on nagging around Namjoon who already rolled his eyes at the oldest guy.
Then I saw Jimin scurries quickly to Yoongi who seems to become all quiet now at the corner of the room. He attends to the wounds on his arm and even probes on what just happened here. His face worried.
Meanwhile, Hoseok and Taehyung each are standing by Jungkook's side. It didn't take Hoseok a second to become all worry when he saw blood on my hands. He keeps on stammering with his words that I couldn't make out what he was saying but I knew for sure that he's worried.
