The Ultimate Race

After the events in Sugar Rush, the 2 next days were spent on training. The GR was convinced he'd won. The await was finally over. The big day has arrived.  All the racers were determined to win. The pressure was so high that you wanted to commence as soon as possible. After that Sour Bill introduced the Sugar Rush's rightful ruler, King Candy shouted: "Hello my loyal subjects. Haha. Have some candy." Everybody proceeded hailing the king. "Thank you of today's avatars, it was a wonderful day of racing. It was. But now the arcade is closed, so it's time to wipe the slate clean, and race to decide our new roster! The first nine racers across that finish line will represent Sugar Rush as tomorrow's avatars!" The GR mumbled to himself: "Oh, is that so? Well, I don't have to be concerned cause I'll be one of those nine racers... in fact I will be first! HAHAHA!" 

"Listen, this event is pay to play, we all know this. The fee to compete is one gold coin from your previous winnings, if you've ever won.... I have! Let me go first!"  said King Candy. 

"Oh. Just great. And I was so excited to race you all and now I hear that racing here is not free?! What a pity. Unfortunately, I don't have any gold coin cause I never raced against any of you here." exclaimed the GR

"Oh What's that? You're not informed about this? Not my problem. That means that you have to back up from the race.. and that means that YOU LOST the bet already!" laughed the king. "that what happens when you get too cocky!"

Vanellope, then decided to do a good action and she gave him her coin so he can race. 

"But how 'bout you, little girl? You were so anxious to race." asked the alien.

"This is your bet. Your race, jumbo. You wanted to show me your awesome skills in race. You said you were a champ in your home world, right? It's time to prove it now." said V hugging the alien.

"Thank you very much, little girl. Your action will be repaid someday.  I promise. This victory will be for you. To our friendship." said happy the alien. Then he turned to the king: "Guess what, I have a gold coin so I can race you all now. I am new, improved and ready to rumble! So don't say boo-boo yet. The bet's still on." smirked the GR

"Good luck. Soon you'll know what kind of talented racer your opponent is, and you'll be sorry." 

Every racer put their coin in the cup while the racing board was announcing the racer name afterwards.  In last, the alien throw the coin and the board said: "THE GALACTIC RACER!"

"Now everybody will know why they call me Galactic Racer" said the alien.

Everybody started their engines. And 3..2..1.. the race began! 

The GR took the lead immidiately followed by Taffyta in 2nd position, Rancis in 3rd and King Candy in 4th... 

After the racers arrived at the first trap, things started to get tricky.. Most racers were eliminated. 

The GR avoided all the traps with ease. 

"What's wrong, Candy? Having trouble to overtake me?" said the GR

"You didn't win yet. And my name's King Candy not Candy."

The race proceeded through the Mountain Cola. The GR was still in the lead followed by the king in 2nd, Taffyta in 3rd and Candlehead in 4th....

The king was close to the alien, just 100 m behind him.

The finish line was close and in the race only the GR, King Candy, Taffyta, Rancis, Candlehead remained. 

Suddenly the GR kart started to behave weirdly... only 50 m was the distance between the victory.  King Candy was head to head.  The GR speeded up no matter what. He knew he should win for Vanellope. In the end the GR made it. He crossed the finish line first just 2 seconds from King Candy. 

"Noooo! It can't be! How this alien defeated me like that?" exclaimed the king.

Even the other racers were astonished.
