It has been one hundred years since the war, they say that they built the wall to protect us... But I've never been to sure. I've always wondered if the wall was built to keep something out or to keep us in. Our city survived the past but it might not survive the future. The founders created a system to find out if you are one of the specials, specials are a different type of person they can do strange but amazing things. This system is called the reveals (or as we call them the revs), because it's when you are forced to reveal if you are a special or not.
After the revs you go home to your family for a day then you go to the meeting hall where they see if you got marked, after the revs If you are a special they mark you and then the government sends you away to the dark side of the city, if not then you just get to go home. The specials only have one day to pack up their stuff and say goodbye to their family's forever. I guess the government does this because they think that the specials have more power than they do. Which seems really silly to me.
That is probably why the government sends the specials away. I think the government just doesn't get that you are born a special you can't just decide that you want to be one. I think that is what makes this so hard for everyone because they just don't understand. I would think that being a
special would be so hard having to hide who you are for you hole life would be terrible, no wonder. In the past few years there have been some specials rally's saying how the government is doing such terrible things to people that didn't do anything wrong it is horrid if you ask me, why would anyone want to do that to an innocent person it is terrible, I just don't get it.
