"Okay," She said and in came Felicity's best friend, Aria. "Hello," She said and was caught off guard. "Who are you..?"

“A friend. Here for Felicity? She’s over here,” Jack said and led her to Felicity.

"Lissie! What happened?" She asked and rushed to Felicity.

"Aria, I'm fine." She laughed and gave her a hug. "Just a dwarf mishap." She said. "How was your trip?" she asked and Aria beamed and showed her her engagement ring. "Oh my gosh!"

Jack smiled and looked out the window suspiciously. He became deep in thought. ‘Who was she? Is she what I think she is? No, I’m over reacting’ He thought.

"Right Jack?" Felicity asked.

“Hm?” He asked coming back to reality.

She laughed, "Deep in thought?"

“Yeah…” he said and went upstairs for a minute and came back down. He had gotten his sword. Jack then went to the window again and saw the figure, “Ah!” He closed the curtains.

"What?" She asked, and Aria looked startled. A knock came from the door. "Jack, can you answer that please?"

“Sure,” Jack said and opened the door.

"Is Felicity here?" a young man asked, peeking into the house.

“Yes, who be you?” Jack asked.

"Uh, the name is Will." He said, holding his hand out for a handshake. "Is Felicity or Aria here?"

Aria came to the door. "Bye Lissie! See you soon! Nice meeting you," She said to Jack and left with Will.

He closed the door and looked out the window again, she had disappeared. “What’s wrong with me?” Jack asked himself.

"What is wrong?" Felicity asked, coming over to him.

“Nothing, what makes you think that? There nothing wrong here,” He said and he looked outside again, she still wasn’t there.

"You keep looking outside." She said, seeing a shadow in the sunlight but not seeing a figure.

“Oh, no I’m not,” he said looking at her. She nodded slowly. “I’m sorry, there’s just something bothering me. I’m sure you’ve never heard of ranger hunters,” Jack said, “They’re paid to kill a certain ranger.”

"Oh, well, you're safe in my house." She smiled.

He just smiled, “Yeah…”

"Jack, what is wrong?"

“She’ll get me anywhere,” Jack said quietly, “They use magic. Ranger hunters are elves that dislike that people have taken their job. They will stop at nothing to finish us off, even if we’re kin to them.” She was quiet. “The only thing that I can do is kill her. I’d hate to kill kin though,” Jack said quietly.

"Kin?" She asked. "Are you related to her somehow?"

“No, when I say ‘kin’ I mean specific race,” He laughed.

She laughed. "I mean, is she your cousin? Sister?"

“I wouldn’t have the slightest clue,” he said.

"Hmm..." She mused.

“Whatever the case, avoid her till I figure this out,” Jack said, and looked out the window. She stood there again.

"Is that her?" She whispered.

“Yep,” He said. She then disappeared into thin air.

"Weird," She said.

“Where’d she go?” Jack asked rhetorically.

“I don’t know, where did I go?” the soft voice said from the living room.

Felicity jumped and saw a beautiful young lady rocking in the rocker, her dark cloak flowing around her. Jack pulled out his sword. She merely used magic and pulled the sword to her hand, “Hmph, have you softened in your years as a ranger?” she asked Jack.

“No,” he said.

Felicity stayed quiet. "Who are you?"

“Why don’t you ask Jacky,” She said.

“What?! It’s you Beth?” Jack asked.

“Yep,” she said pulling off her cloak. Her blond hair flowed like waves down her back. She looked at Felicity with her light blue eyes, “Who’s she?”

“She’s Felicity, my…” he said and was interrupted by Felicity.

"His fiancé," she said with a warm smile. "And you're Jack’s sister?" she asked.

“Aren’t you smart,” she smiled, “Fiancé?”

Jack was still in shock on what she said. "Yes." She said and looked to Beth. "Would you like to stay for supper?"

“Sure,” Beth smiled.

“So, you’re not a ranger hunter?” Jack asked.

“No, well, yes. I’m not going to do it though,” Beth said.

Jack smiled and hugged her, “Nice to see you again.”

Beth looked at Felicity, “Where is your engagement ring? Was my brother too cheap?”

She looked down at her hand. "I lost it.”

“I see,” she smiled, “Actually, I must go.” She then disappeared.

"Okay?" she said. "Is she setting us up?" Felicity asked Jack, but he was gone. "Jack?!"
