Callum stepped outside the castle. Convincing Ezran to let him go was easy, but the one he needed to convince was his Aunt Amaya. She was hesitant if leaving them alone in a cabin that was a potential danger to both, not to mention about the disarray that the Kingdom of Katolis was going through.

"We'll be okay! I swear Aunt Amaya!"

She signed back a bit skeptical: What if you meet rebel on way?

"We will take care of them! Rayla has taken care of things much worse than a few men with cloaks" Callum argued back

After a while of debating General Amaya finally caved in, with the condition of having an escort go with them and then when they finally get there, they would be left alone for 5 days then another escort would come by to pick them up. Callum ultimately agreed to this plan and had immediately hugged his Aunt. Rayla finally came out with her usual full body Elf suit that she had worn on their past adventure.

"Guess old looks never fail?" Callum remarked smiling up at her.

Rayla smiled and shook her head. "Y'know, you also look good on your sleeveless shirt. But I think I would've liked it more if you'd wear that lovely blue jacket and that lucky scarf you have..." She suggested passing a finger through his throat slowly and softly. Callum immediately blushed and ran back in yelling how he'd be back in a couple minutes. Rayla knew how to pull his strings well.

She squinted off to where the castle door was and saw in the horizon the endless forest that extended beyond her sight, the golden glimmers of the rising sun showing through dawn's fog.

"What a beautiful day to go on a walk, huh?" She thought to herself as she started to stretch. It was going to be a long walk and she had to be prepared to protect them both. Callum wasn't the best fighter, but at least now he could use magic and get those bird wings with which he had caught her fall. Callum ran outside with his old outfit, obviously washed and with more color than when they were on the run.

"Ready?" He asked eager to leave. Behind him stood a couple of escorts ready to go.

"Ready"

They all walked out towards the great forest. The chill morning breeze blowing through them. On the way they reminisced of old memories as they passed through the forest. Somehow, they recognized some locations even though the forest seemingly threw a different space every time someone went through it.

As they walked along the forest something was watching them from afar. Noticing their existence inside the forest as they walked with some support. It decided to leave them alone, they couldn't take everyone down, especially the Elf. He'd have to wait for an opportunity.
