Raphael's POV:
As Ariella fell asleep in my arms, I stood up and carried her back to the pack house. Not wanting her sleeping outside again, if I could help it, not now that I finally have her, safely in my life.
Reaching the pack house, I stop and listen for any movement inside, but hear nothing. I open the door and enter with Ariella firmly nestled in my arms.
I carry her up to our room and lay her in the bed. "Sleep my beautiful mate," I tell her, kissing her forehead. I lay down on the couch in our room, not wanting to make her uncomfortable, if I laid next to her. I soon found myself drifting off to sleep, thankful for having her.
The next morning, I wake to a frantic shuffling in the room. I bolt off the couch. Thinking she was indanger, I look around the room. My eyes landing on Ariella, in a panicked state.
I walk cautiously up to her, as she lays on the bed terrified. "Ariella," I call and her eyes snap to mine. "Wh...where am I," she asks, scared. "Your in our room," I tell her, "I didn't want to leave you outside,so I brought you with me."
I reach out and caress her cheek, hoping to calm her down. She leans into my touch, and I can see her calming down. "I didn't mean to scare you," I tell her.
Just then I realize that I have scared her alot in just forty eight hours, of meeting her.
"They don't like me," she says. "Baby, they do, my Dad just doesn't know what you've been through," I assure her. A tear slips down her cheek, and I wipe it away, quickly.
"Do you trust me," I ask. She looks at me as if studying me for a moment. She then nods her head. "Would you be willing to go down for breakfast with me? If you get scared, I will be with you every second and we can leave," I ask.
"Promise," she asks, causing me to smile. "I promise," I tell her. She looks at me nervously, but nods her beautiful head in agreement. I extend my hand for her to take, and she does.
We leave the room, and she clings to my arm, for dear life, in fear. "Baby, it'll be ok," I tell her. When opening the dinning room door, she squeaks in fear, causing me to close the dining room door again.
"What if they don't like me? What if they don't think I am good enough?," She asks. I am at her, "not possible, my sister and mother already love you, and Derek, my gamma does to, so will everyone else," I tell her, "are you ready," I ask.
She nods and I ooen the door, and she follow me into the room.
